SOLVED. YA Fiction Book- About 2 sisters, one is trying to be an actress, the other deals with jealousy. [s]

This is a book I read back between 2005-2014. It was fairly thick, a few hundred pages, and I remember absolutely loving it. I cannot remember the name! It was fiction, definitely YA, and I distinctly remember it being about 2 sisters (perhaps twins?) - 1 was outgoing and 1 was more introverted. I believe it was about one sister becoming an actress (i forget if she does or not) or singer, and one dealing with her sister being more loved and popular than her. Perhaps the sister dies? In the end the introverted sister becomes more outgoing and finds her self worth.

You read it between 2005 and 2015 but could it have been an older book? was it set on an island? It sounds a little like "Jacob have I loved"
