ROMANCE - Man goes back in time to save his fiance (or wife?) who is dying of celiac disease. He ends up falling in the love with the mother and they have an affair and eventually he leaves her time and returns to his time and his wife (who is now better).
For some reason, I believe the setting was Salt Lake City??
I believe that this was published between 1990-2005.
It might have been a story in an anthology.

Kathy, can we eliminate Element 119 by Jaimie Just? It was published in 2014. I mention it because it involves time travel and a main character has Celiac disease.

What are the two time periods in your story?

It's neither Element 119 or Time and Again.

Time periods were present day and daughter was 6 or 7 when he showed up in the past, so that would be about 20 years apart. Because he showed up, he told the mother about the daughter's celiac disease which is how the daughter came to be well when he returned to his present time. Definitely not married to his own daughter in the future.

My guess is that the anthology would likely be by different authors.
