Currently reading The Means of Escape by Penelope Fitzgerald (ISBN: 0-00-710501-0 or 9780007105014) edition and there's 157 pages and not 176 pages as stated.

Thanks, Emma. WorldCat reports 128 pages for this edition. Could you tell me what's between pages 128 and 157 in your copy?
Hi, P128 is the fourth page of 'Our Lives are only Lent to Us' which continues to P145. Then 'Desideratus' starts on P149 and continues to P157. It's a Flamingo edition, 2001 by the look of it if that's of any help.

Thanks for that. It's not a major issue I know! But I love looking at the stats at the end of the year on the book challenge for pages read etc and doing my percentage read.
