Enzo's observations throughout the novel provide insight into his world view. For example:

—"The visible becomes inevitable."
—"Understanding the truth is simple. Allowing oneself to experience it, is often terrifically difficult."
—"No race has ever been won in the first corner; many races have been lost there."

How does his philosophy apply to real life?

The visible becomes inevitable: Visualization is a technique used to enhance an individual’s self-confidence. I think that is what Enzo and Denny mean by this. Inevitable might be too strong a word, but imagining your success makes success itself more attainable. The saying, “The car goes where the eyes are looking,” is as old as driving, and it’s true. Maybe the whole point is to keep your eyes on the goal.

Understanding the truth is simple: I have no idea what this means. Within the context of the book, I would say, it is easier to understand than to act.

No race is ever won in the first corner: Not true. When the circumstances permit it, and the driver takes advantage, a race can be won in the first turn, but patience is a virtue, and it is true many races are lost by unwise decisions on the first lap.
