LOL.. I may need to keep Never Never so it can spice up the month. I will leave that book fro last then. It does sound interesting though.

Mika Michelle I finished I Am Watching You by Teresa Driscoll 4/5. There were times I wanted to throw the book because all the secrets, but it made me want to continue reading as well so I guess it worked out perfectly. I still need to finish The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie (Flavia de Luce, #1) by Alan Bradley , and The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air, #1) by Holly Black .

Oooo yes I want to read that!

message 59: by Mika Michelle (new)

Mika Michelle I just finished The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie (Flavia de Luce, #1) by Alan Bradley . I couldn’t get into it and didn’t like any character in the books, so for me it was 3/5 and the 3 is pushing it. Next book The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air, #1) by Holly Black . I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. This will probably be my last book of Jan and then into romance Feb.

It was pretty flat to me I dunno ... Its more of a family situation story.

All cute reads Except Girl with Guitar I have it but havent read it.

message 62: by Meredith (new)

Meredith | 17 comments I just finished The Invasion of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #2) by Erika Johansen . I devoured the first one in 24 hours, but this one was way darker. I kept having to put it down because I was so anxious. I am not sure this one even really qualifies as YA because there was so much intense misery. However, I really did appreciate the way it came together in the end. I feel like there was a point to all the suffering and I'm excited to read the third in the series.

Also, thanks to everyone who recommended 5 star books a few weeks back! My TBR is full and I am so excited to dig into some of these!

Right now, I'm starting on A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness since I found it at a thrift store.

I loved Queen of the Tearling and can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy. It isn't classified as YA, by the way, its adult fantasy.

I'm absolutely loving it though❤️❤️❤️

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments I also finished The Knowing (The Forgetting, #2) by Sharon Cameron 5 star read!

Also finished The Fire Wish (The Jinni Wars, #1) by Amber Lough which was a fun, quick read.

Started The Clouded Sky (Earth & Sky, #2) by Megan Crewe which I seem to be way more into than the first one. Probably because this one takes place on an alien planet, and I'm so into that right now!

Also started Before She Ignites (Fallen Isles Trilogy #1) by Jodi Meadows and I'm really liking this one so far. So very dark, great world building. The MC is majorly flawed, so I'm not too much of a fan of hers yet. But loving everything else!
