I finished it... and tried Embassytown after it and liked it a bit better... and then tried Perdido Street Station and just gave up and moved on to things I preferred... that was February/April/May, I think...

I believe there are only two possibilities with a book by Mieville: either you love it or you don't like it at all. I loved Perdido Street Station and the Scar but dnf'd Iron Council, so I understand you guys :)
In case you want to try it again, I'd recommend the Scar as it's more accessible.

I'm going to wait awhile... I have other (less) weird authors I like better that I need to finish... like A. Lee Martinez

I read Gil's All Fright Diner by A. Lee Martinez Monster by A. Lee Martinez The Automatic Detective by A. Lee Martinez last year, but could still do with going back and reading Divine Misfortune by A. Lee Martinez Emperor Mollusk versus The Sinister Brain by A. Lee Martinez In the Company of Ogres by A. Lee Martinez A Nameless Witch by A. Lee Martinez Too Many Curses by A. Lee Martinez Chasing the Moon by A. Lee Martinez Helen and Troy's Epic Road Quest by A. Lee Martinez when the mood strikes... and Time Pimp by Garrett Cook has been lurking in the back of my mind since I discovered it's existence, for the blurb alone...

Yeah, I figured he's one of those authors... I'll probably give his work another try but not in the near future - too many things to read :O
Thanks for the recommendation though :)

Omg I just noticed the little shield used for censoring (it's kinda tiny given how well-built he is otherwise) lol
