Debra Firestone | 127 comments The son of a co-worker of mine loved a picture book that was read aloud at his day care. All he was able to tell his mom was the book was about a policeman who took a duck home with him and the duck swam in the toilet. He also thought there was a rainbow on the cover.

The mother asked the daycare and it turns out they read the book awhile ago and did not remember the title.

Unfortunately that is all the boy was able to relate to his mother. I've tried looking all over, but can't find anything that fits what her son described. I'm hoping these few facts are stand out enough that someone recognizes the title.

Thank you :)

When was it read at the daycare, Debra?

A little over a year ago. She told me about it two months ago and I was trying to find it on my own at first. Lots of duck books, some duck and policeman, but no duck in toilet, lol

Debra, I realize these questions may be difficult to answer:

- Is there a lesson in the story?

- Can you describe the illustrations - realistic/cartoony/cute, simple/detailed, painted watercolors/bold graphics, sunny/dark/muted colors/black & white?

- Similar illustrator or picture book author?

Unfortunately she does not know anything further. The few details I have were all her son remembered from the story; well, that and he wanted her to get the book, lol

Never found it. I just asked my friend and she said we could take it down. Her son is to old for it now and has no more interest.
Thank you for checking. :)

No worries. I moved this request to the "Query abandoned by poster" folder by clicking the small "edit" link after the topic header. This only works on the full Desktop website - not the Mobile website or app.
