Sarah-Jane (sairjane) | 26 comments Hi, my apologies if this is the wrong place to post this question. I notice that with many books, there are often sub-shelves created. Eg: a book may be shelved as "Mystery" and also as "Mystery > Historical Mystery" as is the case with Kerry Greenwood's Murder and Mendelssohn. What is the correct syntax to use when I add a shelf for a book? Is it exactly as typed above? Or is it "Mystery-Historical-Mystery"? Or something else?

However, what you are referring to is genres. That is dependant on what members shelve their books and is an automatic thing done by the computers that run the data base.
