Just finished "After I Do" by T Reid... putting it on my list of top reads for 2014. I've been married for over 20 years, so that may be why I loved it so much. Has anyone that is NOT married read it? Wondering if I should recommend it only to my married friends. After I Do

Love that you asked this question, as I have been married 30 years and wondered if that had anything to do with why it meant so much to me. I'll be watching for others to answer.

I read it and recommended it to all of my married friends!

I would definitely recommend this to my married friends! Come on, let us be all honest, we married people can definitely identify with the characters....how our spouse just get on our nerves....the way he chews, the way he breathes...but at the end we still love our spouse. I have been married for 20 + years.....and married to the same guy!

I'm an unmarried female in my early 20s and I read this book and LOVED it. I think the reason the book works for everyone is because Lauren's only 30. It's an age that a lot of people can relate to, as opposed to being 50, which is a little far off for me to be able to understand completely.

So yes, recommend it to your unmarried friends!

I think unmarried people could take something different from this book...like how to apathy-proof your relationship from the beginning? or how to negotiate the little things so they don't fester into huge issues?

But I wonder if unmarried people reading this book realize how normal/common the issues this couple deal with in the book and how they can ruin months or years of a good, otherwise solid relationship?
