Spreadsheet updated to here. I noticed that people are often leaving off the 2 if the title starts with "The". Also, don't forget that you can use a setting for a number if it starts with the corresponding letter. It the book takes place in "Fairyland" you can use that as a 4. I just want to make sure we have plenty of options for the books.

A while ago, we asked you to head to THIS THREAD to post three (3) favourite books/series, up to a maximum of five (5) for those of us who have a hard time deciding ;-), you would recommend to others.
As some of you have already guessed, this will in some way be incorporated into an upcoming optional mini challenge. (Nope, our lips are sealed still, we are not going to tell you what it is :-p)
However, a surprisingly large number of players have not posted any recommendations yet. Unfortunately, that might make things difficult for your fellow players as well as yourselves.
Please, please, post 3-5 recommendations in the above mentioned thread. If you don't, we may be forced to take unwanted action as a result.
Thank you for adding your suggestions, Michelle. For everyone else who has not added suggestions please do. This will come into play later in the month and it will be nice to have lots of books to pick from. I've added 5 suggestions and I keep thinking of other books I'd like to add. Who doesn't have books they'd like to recommend to others?

Spreadsheet updated to here. Good job everyone. We are about 60% through this moths books. I hope everyone is having fun so far.
Also if you haven't done so yet please head over to the Book Recommendations page, and recommend 3-5 of your favorite books. You will want to look through and see what other people have recommended so you don't duplicate. This will give everyone more options if/when this becomes a mini challenge later this month.
Thank you to Michelle and Elena for posting their recommendations and representing team Jupiter.

Thanks for updating all weekend Annalisa :)We are doing an awesome job team! I'm going to post my recommendations now.
Almost all of team Jupiter has made suggestions on the book recommendations page now. I'm looking forward to seeing how these recommendations come into play.
So am I. The mini-challenges are sometimes more fun then the actual game. It's good that we are this far along too so we'll be able to play the mini-challenge without much worry :D

Yes, yes, you have guessed it already - the recommendations were not only for our pleasure but there was something more to it ;-)
Since some of you have already added a few of the recommendations to your TBR shelves, we figured that would be an ideal title for our February Mini Challenge. ;-)
All info for the mini challenge can be found HERE. Have fun!
(Co-)Captains, your spreadsheets will be updated with a new sheet for the mini challenge within the next 24 hours.
updated to hereEveryone please read the instructions for the Mini challenge and ask if you have any questions!
We need to choose up to 3 other teams to read recommended books. Please check out the thread here and give us your top 3 teams. We'll use the 3 most common suggestions. Since the mini challenge begins at 3am est. I'll post our 3 teams chosen by Part 1: We need to read the same books (or the next book in the series if we've already read the 1st book in the series).
Part 2: We need to connect a book to the recommended book.
We cannot read from the same teams for Part 1 and Part 2. So if we choose Team Grus for Part 1 we cannot choose them for Part 2.
I just checked out the teams and there were two that I already had two books each from. I'm on my way to work now and won't be able to see them until I get home after 6pm eastern standard time. From memory team belagrase but I know I've spelled it wrong. I'll have to check the other team when I get home.
No worries Annalisa - I can wait until later today to post which teams. I want to make sure to give everyone a chance. I'll wait until tonight right before I go to bed then :)
Can we do re-reads? I didn't see that addressed in the rules.I can find something from any team so I'll go along with the majority on this one.
I'll double check on the re-reads but I'm pretty sure they will follow the same rules as the Uno challenge:Re-reads are ok provided it has been more than 6 months since last read

I would be happy if we had any of these four teams. I've got books already that work for them. If we don't pick these teams for part one I am also good as I can use my books for part 2 (I think).
I'm going to leave this to you guys - I don't see much that I would want to read on any of the lists
