Hello! My name is Su Ah and I'm currently in Minnesota for college. This is my second time playing and I'm super excited cause it was so much fun last year! I usually read about 7-10 books when I'm in break, but with classes sadly I don't have as much time to read. I'll try to read as much as possible :)Link to uno shelf: uno-team-challenge-2018
*Could the Wrath & the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh or The Boy on the Bridge by M.R. Carey work for 2 Red?
Awesome, then I'll use that for 6 green. That may be my max. Do we need to finish them each month or do we have till the end of the game?
Hi Su Ah! Welcome to the team. Don't worry about reading enough - life gets in the way for us all at times :)I'll check on those books for you.
@Nicole - the 14 Hands that are listed on the February tab have to be finished before the end of February. We'll get new cards and new hands for March and April. So anything in that tab needs to be complete by the end of February to get those points.
@ Su Ah The Wrath and the Dawn should work for 5 Red - I believe there is a character names Irsa in it. If you want to read that let me know and I'll put you in for that one since I think that would be difficult to find elsewhere. The Boy on the Bridge will work for the 2 Red since it is the 2nd in a series.
Since I read at least 15 - 20 books a month, sometimes as much as 25 - 30, I can't really predict that far out to go ahead and select books now. I've never had a hard time finding books to fit challenges, though, so I'm sure this time will work out the same.
I can read
for the red 7. I'm thinking that
would also work for a red 7, but I'm not completely sure of that. I checked and it says red, but I'm not sure I believe tineye. That would then covers the red 7 and a Wild Draw 4.
@ Michelle - no worries! I wanted to make sure we had the color cards covered for the most part. I'm sure everything will be fine with your books. @ Andrea - thanks!
@ Annalisa - works for me. I'll put you down for the Red 7
@ Su Ah - ok great!
Something that was helpful for me last year was seeing how many of each chard we have so I thought I would create a post for that. I listed the card number or card type on the left and then on the right I listed how many of the card there are. Card---------------How Many
0-------------------4
0 Yellow-----------1
1-------------------9
1 Green-----------1
2-------------------9
2 Red--------------1
3-------------------4
4-------------------6
5-------------------8
5 Red--------------1
6-------------------4
6 Green-----------1
7-------------------8
7 Red--------------1
8-------------------7
9-------------------6
9 Yellow-----------1
Skip----------------4
Reverse------------7
Draw 2-------------7
Wild----------------5
Wild Draw 4-------2
Thanks Annalisa! i'll put this in the beginning of the thread so it doesn't get lost :):)That's helpful to know how many we need to read for each card.
I was at the library yesterday and have 4 books already ready to go. I'm so excited to start reading LOL
It's definitely helpful, thank you, Annalisa!Looks like we'll need a bunch of I's, V's and E's for this hand. Also i'll be sending everyone friend requests if that's ok, it really makes looking for Reverse much easier!
Hi Team!!One more week! Are you all getting ready to play? Does anyone have their list of books ready to go? I have a few that I got from the library that I cannot wait to start reading!
Hi Team,I've been finishing up books I started ages ago. I enjoy these books they tend to be something I wouldn't pick to read currently though so I've slowed down a bit. I've been trying not to start anything new so I can start the month of February with a new reads. Last night I started a new novel though. I needed something a little lighter.
I have a few holds at the library, they should all come by next week. That includes the color card I committed to reading. I'm putting off picking these books up so I'm not tempted to peek inside and start one.
Same for me Annalisa - I'm trying not to pick up the books I have because I know I'll start reading them. I may have to get a quick read out of the way before this challenge starts. What novel did you begin last night?
I started The Heir by Grace Burrows. I'd link but I'm on my phone. Its historical romance, which is brain candy and a very quick read.
I'm in the middle of another team challenge right now which is really task-specific, so no lists of books yet! Nevertheless I'm ready! :)
@ Elena - What challenge are you doing right now? I'm itching to get started on this one -it's been too long since I've been in a challenge!!!@ Michelle - Yay! It'll be here before we know it!
I'm also doing other challenges and tend to pick my books as I need them, so other than the red book I committed to reading, I don't have anything planned.

Team challenges are great! I'm motivated to read a lot more when I participate, even if I find myself reading some pretty obscure books sometimes :)
Are you ready?? The start of UNO is just around the corner!!
To while away the time a little as we're waiting for the countdown to run out, you could help Snoopy increase his tiny TBR pile and give him some recommendations on what to read next.

Just swing by THIS THREAD for more information and some awesome recommendations. You might just meet your next favourite book!
Thanks Pixie! :)@Elena - I saw that challenge too late to join but I would have if I was able to on time! It looks like a lot of fun. I am always reading obscure books for challenges LOL. I've found a couple of really good ones that way tho!
I can finally look at the rest of the discussion on my iPad, it wasn't letting me on my phone for some reason. So challenge starts tomorrow correct? I have two books that i can read for it and if i finish those before Februarys up ill let all know.
Yes, it starts on Thursday. I'm really looking forward to getting started and hopefully talking about some fun books everyone is reading for the challenge.
One more day! I believe for most of us this will start at 3am so if you are awake at that time and want to read - go for it!! The countdown is at the beginning of the thread.Anyone who has not checked into the thread in the past week could you please do so? I would like to make sure we are all still ready and able to play :)
Once you have completed a book please post in this thread like this to make it easier for the captains to see and enter on the tracking spreadsheet :)Book Read:

Thanks!!! So excited to start!
I've got my currently reading shelf almost cleared off. One book can wait until after the challenge and I'll finish the light novel tonight. I'm looking forward to starting an audiobook tomorrow. I've been listening to the news for the last three days and I'm ready for something else for my drive to and from work. I have Romeo and Juliet and I'm not sure if it will work. One place put it as 25,500ish words and another puts it at 24,500ish words. I'm not sure which edition I have so I'll have to do some checking on that to see if it will work or not.
