I'll go for the heart on cover then with this book. Leighann Dobbs is usually a quick read - her cozy mysteries anyway. So, the romance should be fast, too.

it did. slowed down a bit now, because we have moved to a different year, so the vibe of the island has changed, and the main selling point of the book (attempted assassination) has happened.

I did decide early on not to worry about the plot or characters per se, but to view it as a book about atmosphere, which helped enormously
