Haha indeed you aren't!!
Eldarwen wrote: "That'd be extra work though?"but then wouldn't have to keep track of reporting posts?
I could throw links to the completion posts into the message on the first page of the team thread reserved for the mini challenges with a copy-paste of the tasks + comments?Or we'll just wait another couple of days, or until after Katie bulk-posted, and then throw them all onto the spreadsheet then?
We won't be overrun with too many completion posts until then, I think.
other thought for same cover: there's that godawful series of cosy mysteries. Mrs Fix-it or something. Which all have the same cover just different colours?
/
etc etcThey have the benefit of being quick quick quick

I think catching the completions somewhere would make sense, yes. Especially if I continue to jibber jabber like this! :)
Cat wrote: "other thought for same cover: there's that godawful series of cosy mysteries. Mrs Fix-it or something. Which all have the same cover just different colours?
/ [bookco..."That could work, too, actually. They're painted but they do look the same.

Hahahaha ;-D
Ok, I'll throw them onto the first page.
Lol! I've only got 4 right now. I'll try to get them posted today. It's field trip day for my daughter, so I'll be out most of the afternoon. :)
Hahaha :-))4 is not bad though! I think we could already work with that ;-)
Field trip sounds like fun! Are you on surveillance duty for it?
started a couple of books - my commuting audio and one to refresh my palate after some pretty intense short stories. Her Body and Other Parties is good, but as it is focusing on the female experience (with magical realism/horror) there's a lot of grimness from which I needed a break. So, I've picked up Blood River: A Journey to Africa's Broken Heart (author Tim) and Sins & Needles
I think
it's green, so could be 6 Green (Sins title) or 8 Green (Ellie char) or 4 Green (Halle author). I've a feeling it's a reverse too, with Katie? For the mini, on first glance, as I've not read much yet, so more might come out:
Blood River - road (& river!) trip / set in country I don't live in (Congo - and I'm grateful for that!) / takes a risk (travelling solo through Congo)
Sins & Needles - 3 Es in title / tells a lie (she's a grifter, it's her job to lie!)
I read Sins & Needles (and yep, so did Katie).(H is 3 card.)
For the mini, I'll have to read through the tasks but there's certainly a few more that'll fit. The lying anyway. Everyone in that trilogy lies at least once per book.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to post yesterday! Will definitely do so tonight. In other news, the field trip yesterday was to an arcade/mini golf/amusement park place that had a huge ball pit that the kids loved. Sadly, it was 40 degrees and sleeting so we didn't do anything outside. There was a huge crane game (you guys know what I'm talking about???) where they had massive balls and nobody ever wins, right? Not my kid...2 tries and we've got a ball the size of her in the living room now. :P

Okay, so thinking over the books I am reading and have planned to read:- The Bear and the Nightingale for reverse, I'm probably going to be half-way through by the end of the day
- Offside for 1 card, work permitting, I might be done with this by the end of the day
- The Smoke Thief for 6 green, which might be replaced by Bayou Moon, I'll pick that one up as soon as I'm done with Bear & Nightingale
- Perfect for 4 card and pink cover (mini), I'll read that over the weekend, they're such a guilty pleasure read haha but quick to get through
And that should leave enough time to pick up the 4th book in the Pretty Little Liars series, which is *tadaaaa* Green! So I can read that the last weekend of the month and cover the 4 Green unless someone else has something they have finished by then.
Cat is currently reading for 8 Green, so the 4 Green is the last coloured card we have left that we need to read for.
I have a couple more green covers I could read next but I’m not sure whether there are any F’s in them. Can’t see any from reading the blurb.
Do you happen to have an orange cover? Because we have a task for an orange cover in the mini challenge. That might be an idea? And it won't require a specific character name either as long as it works for something for the hands :-)
Btw Louise, I snagged your Julia Quinn book for one of our reverse cards as Katie read it. That leaves ONE reverse card we need to fill!
Kelly wrote: "I have a couple more green covers I could read next but I’m not sure whether there are any F’s in them. Can’t see any from reading the blurb."Or you could read for an 8 Green if that helps?
Then we'll use Cat's green book as a reverse. That could work, too.

Yes Green cover with a character called Eustace!
Fantastic! :-)Sounds like an interesting book and it seems like the main character is a writer, which is perfect for one of our mini tasks.

Cool, another task finished! And that brings our consecutively completed hands to 5 :-)
I was thinking about picking up this one:
Looks green to me (tineye calls it black...) and it has an F character so it could cover the 4 Green we have left.
Do we think it's green enough?
I also asked in the captain's thread just because the reactions to colour covers and tineye results are always fun hehe.
also finished Sins & NeedlesThe cover is green: Ellie char / S title. no F though :(
Reverse with Katie & E
Mini: lies told left, right & centre / 3Es in title
Don't have the physical copy yet. Want to get it but that won't be until next month earliest.Eta: I have a free kindle copy that I want to sneak read at work.
