Great, thanks Louise!Replacing Savana's book with what we have on hand.
And on to April it is!!
If you have a book or two lined up already, you know the drill :-)
Happy Easter all! Current books being read:
The Cherry Tree Cafe by Heidi Swain and The Note by Zoe Felbrigg.
I’m keeping an eye out for coloured covers!
My first reads for this month are going to be:
which can cover the 8 Yellow and the 4 Yellow - so it can be switched around if necessary. I slotted it in for the 8 Yellow for now.
which can work for quite a lot actually. Used it to get rid of a Draw 2.
Ok, so I'm reading:The Second World War - which is S title or standalong
- which is yellow, Seven in title, standalone, and lots of chars, including an NI'll be reading:
- which is red, S author, standalone, and meta data says there's an H char
- which is green, standalone, H title. it's short stories, so I don't know what chars will pop up

The green one hasn't been added yet as there's no 3 Green, so we'll go with characters once you're reading :-)

Any covers that fit for our coloured cards by any chance?

Blue?? Is it blue enough?
Unfortunately, it's grey. Or so says Tineye. I checked this morning when I put it on the spreadsheet :-(
Really? Because it’s definitely pale blue in real life. Shame I thought it might cover a coloured card.
Kelly wrote: "Really? Because it’s definitely pale blue in real life. Shame I thought it might cover a coloured card."Really? Well real life calls it. If you tell me that it's pale blue in real life, then we'll use it for a blue card because the grey was definitely way more than 50%.
So 8 Blue it is!
Thanks :-)
And hooray for physical copies hehe.
Ashlee wrote: "I will check for colored cards in the morning. I hope everyone had a blessed day! 🐰"I got a chocolate bunny, so definitely a good day ;-)
Hope you had a good day, too!
Ah yes, lovely red cover. Terrible book though :-(At least in my opinion. I was ripping my hair out while reading it. I hope you won't encounter the same issue!!
Wooh! :-)Keep those books coming!
Going to finish Pretty Little Liars by tomorrow and I also started reading The House of Silk, which seems to be going quite fast as well.
I've 3 & 1/2 hrs left in The Second World War: the American's are slogging through Pacific / Japanese Islands at horrific cost; in Europe Churchill, Stalin & Roosevelt (boo hiss - the author really doesn't rate Roosevelt at all) are dividing up post-war Europe. It's all very good stuff, and I'll be finished tomorrow morning at the latest, but this evening probably.I'm struggling a bit with A Brief History of Seven Killings, and I'm in two minds whether I should put it down till the weekend and come back to it fresher, or carry on with it now. It's possible that I'm about to get it...
Oh! and I've checked out Her Body & Other Parties (which I think I'll have to take story by story with others in between, so it'll be a while till I finish). In one of the stories there's Stabler char - we've a 6 Green, right? right? I really want to make use of that beautifully green cover!
I've not really thought much further ahead on other books, except for Redshirts, which is my post-2nd World War audio, but I'll keep you (exhaustively) updated!
Yess, we DO have a 6 Green :-)) It absolutely would have been a waste not to use that cover for a coloured card hehe.If you feel like you need a bit of a break from your Killings book though, then it might not be a bad idea to do just that. Sometimes that's better than forcing through. And we still have a lot of time before April is over :-)
oh! and I also researched if we could use Redshirts for the draw two...characters include:
Nick Weinstein
Finn
Jimmy Hanson
Ben Trin
Fiona Mbeke
Paul West
I've got a couple done, but it's been a slow start to April with the holiday weekend. I'll try to get them posted tonight or tomorrow. :)

I'll keep my fingers crossed for a 1, 6 or 8!!
(Your blue Cherry Café book is in the blue 8 slot, but can be switched to 6 if necessary.)

Aaah yes :-)
ok... is this yellow?
Tineye says brown, but I don't like tineye! I think it's gold-ish, which Tineye tends to read as brown.
If it is yellow it's got a character (talking horse - actual talking) Falada and will be quick for a Yellow 4 card.... ?
Mmmh... I'm not so sure about that one. It doesn't scream yellow at me when I look at the cover. Also not so sure about the talking animal. :-/
well, I won't get it then!it popped up on Amazon feed, and I thought it might work; I'm not desperate to read it :)
I'll add both those blue books to the spreadsheet once we know more about the cards they can fit so we don't have to move things around too much :-)
