Karen, I have 17 books on my Uno Shelf, but only 15 are showing up on the Team's official SS under the members section. Do you know why that is? I can't figure it out.

There are still 12 open spots for part 2 of the mini challenge. I'll keep updating the post above so you can see what's available
Lisa - (Aussie Girl) wrote: "Great job team. So, is the same number of words in the title a valid connection?"
sorry I missed that.
I'm a bit on the fence as there have been "no"s given to other things like initials of authors. Is there a character name we can find in one of the other books, or something in common on the cover instead?
I think it would be safer to have a stronger connection
Okies. How about this then. I finished
by Lara Adrian. Connection: Andromeda
.Secondary characters both vampires are killed during the course of the books. Balthazar in Claimed in Shadows and Darius in Dark Lover. Or covers show vampires nuzzling/biting their mates.
Added to Uno shelf.
Up next for me is:Death's Rival (Jane Yellowrock series, #5)
I'm thinking of trying to link it to team Mercury:
If Tomorrow Comes (Tracy Whitney series, #1).
Both books are is series named for Main Character.
Lisa - (Aussie Girl) wrote: "I've got one for Jupiter -
.Currently reading -

"Train" in both titles."
Cool, I've added a bit to it:
"Girl on the train: both have "train" in titile, both have J couples (Julia and Jake and "Jess and Jason"), both main characters on a train is central to the stories, both have characters named Tom"
:)
I finished The Liar's Girl and filled in the regular UNO stuff on the spreadsheet. For the mini challenge:Dual Timelines
- Carina (The Secret Keeper)
Serial killer kills someone close to the main character
- Ceres (The Postcard Killers)
Set in Ireland
- Haumea (In the Woods)
- Jupiter (Darkfever)
- Pluto (Darkfever)
- Tucana (Darkfever)
Water on the cover
- Kuiper (Unbroken)
- Mercury (This is What Happy Looks Like)
- Milky Way (Stillhouse Lake)

Finished and shelved this one now for Team Jupiter.
Hey Team Sculptor! Kaylee from team Carina just stopping in to say thanks to whomever recommended Animal Farm for the Mini Challenge! I was planning on reading this eventually because I read 1984 last summer and really enjoyed it, and this was a perfect opportunity! I think I enjoyed Animal Farm even more; the same symbolism and important messaging, with a really interesting format and easy to read writing! Thanks again!
February Completion Post: Read: The Game You Played by Anni Taylor
Finished: 2/24/2018
Fits:
Two (Author last name starts with T)
Skip (Main character name starts with P)
0 (stand alone book)
6 (set in Sydney)
Okay I just realized something and this sucks. Please let me know if this has happened to anyone else and if you know how to fix it. All of my books on all of my shelves are gone. I have the two read for UNO and the two I am currently reading, but the every other book I have put on there is gone. IS there a way to fix this? If not, that's a lot of hours of work down the drain :(
Diane Woods wrote: "Okay I just realized something and this sucks. Please let me know if this has happened to anyone else and if you know how to fix it. All of my books on all of my shelves are gone. I have the two re..."Click on the shelf, Diane. they should still be there but the number is showing 0. There is some glitch on GR right now where the shelves are showing either very low numbers or zero
Also, can you see if you have any way to make your book fit for the February mini challenge. We've completed all the hands for uno and are working to complete the mini challenge now.https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Hello! Stopping in from Pluto to say thank you for the recommendation for Flame in the Mist! This had been on my Kindle for a while, but I never got around to reading it, and I'm glad I did!
It was a great story, and I love that it was set in feudal Japan!
Sassafrass wrote: "Diane Woods wrote: "Okay I just realized something and this sucks. Please let me know if this has happened to anyone else and if you know how to fix it. All of my books on all of my shelves are gon..."yes it has been a GR big for a few weeks and comes and goes. Quite annoying
I finished Moon Called from Team Mensa and had linked it from Night Shifts Black from Pyxis because of the arm tattoos on the cover
Teri wrote: "I finished Moon Called from Team Mensa and had linked it from Night Shifts Black from Pyxis because of the arm tattoos on the cover"I'll see if I can find another way it may fit unless you have another idea?
--edit--
found we had you down for Milky way. All good :)
Rainy sunday so finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (rather than starting my uni coursework. oops).Anyhow, means part 1 of mini challenge is now complete!
Connection between books for Feb challenge:The Game You Played has a small child on the front and so does The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate. Will that work?
Finished
For Team Ceres -
Connection: Both set in the Victorian Era.
Woman on cover in a Victorian Style gown with their hair up.
Diane Woods wrote: "Connection between books for Feb challenge:The Game You Played has a small child on the front and so does The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate. Will that work?"
Oh shoot. Sorry Dianne, just saw that your book was started before the mini challenge so we can't count it for the mini challenge. Oh well. I hope it was an enjoyable read anyhow :)
FinishedThe Murder on the Links which connects with Carina.
I have one more to squeeze in for Carina before the end of the Feb round.
I also start back at uni this week, so my reading next month will be much more limited. I'll do what I can on audio, but I'll probably only be reading half of what I did this month
4 days until the end of the Feb roundBooks started in Feb, but finished in March, will count for our March books
Mini challenge:
These books have been claimed, if you're no longer intending to read one, please shout out so someone else may be able to grab that spot. If we can get them all done we get those important bonus points!
Haumea Force of Nature Kaila
Mensa Beyond scandal and desire Lisa
Mercury Death's Rival Sassafrass
Milky Way Killman Creek Kaila
Pluto David Bowie made me gay Apoorv
And, our open spots can be found in the post at the top of this page here:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
(there are 5 open)
Good one. I'm starting mine tonight so will definitely be finished by the deadline. Might even be able to do one more, see how the week pans out.
I found this one (a short novella of 127 pages)
to connect with Team Kuiper
.Vampires are the main supernatural creature in both books. Midnight Unleashed is set in Rome (with vampires) and Alexa's late father ( from Soulless) was an Italian vampire. Does this work?
March cards
Card Frequency
0 3
1 5
2 7
3 8
4 8
5 8
6 6
7 11
8 9
9 6
skip 5
reverse 9
Wow! Lots of 7 (v) and 9 x reverse cards
For coloured cards, we have:
1 Blue
3 Blue
1 Green
5 Green
7 Red
9 Red
2 Yellow
9 Yellow
and 5 of these need to be duplicated for our wild draw 4 cards
To be perfectly honest, I'm likely not going to get to the two I claimed by the end of February - I had a handful of review copies come through, and I'm giving those priority :) But! I've made my next two reads fit for both of those teams, so I can still claim those spots:The Favorite Sister - fits for Team Haumea's Big Sexy Love, as they're both set in New York.
The French Girl - fits for Team Milky Way's Stillhouse Lake, as they both have water, reflected shadows, and silhouettes on the cover.
For the March hands, I can claim 3 Blue with
, which is surprisingly more blue than green.
is also Blue, but I won't know if I can make it fit 1 or 3 until I read it.
Hello! I've just finished
by Cassandra Clare. I've also updated the spreadsheet. It can also be counted in part 2 of the mini challenge for the following connections:Boy in the cover
(Team Hydrus)
How to Train Your Dragon
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
(Team Mercury)
Narcissus and Goldmund
Set in UK
(Team Hydrus)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Forbidden love
(Team Tucana)
Slammed
Dead parent; son/daughter stepped up to take care of the family
(Team Tucana)
Slammed
Thanks! :)
Completed: Death's Rival which fits for Team Mercurydate read 2/25/18
on shelf
I'll try to see what's up next for me to finish in the next couple of days.
Ok, I can finish one more before the end of the month (maybe two but that may be pushing it).I'm going to read:
by Maria V. Snyder.Based on what's not been claimed it fits:

Team Hydrus: A Wizard of Earthsea (both books have authors who use their middle initial)
Ursula K. Le Guin
Team Mercury: This is What Happy Looks Like (both books have authors who use their middle initial)
