Connie - I really like the author, Annie Raines. The 2nd book in the series was actually better; I also like her other series. I think she is coming out with another series this summer. I joined her Facebook page.
I just finished
; I'm not sure what I'll listen to next and my physical book doesn't meet any of the challemges right now. I'll be back!
I'll be reading the following book
in April and would like to take #21, an egg.New Task A bird or a bird's nest
I finished #66 - Train or train station with
by Agatha Christie. I'll come back later and look for another connection.
I finished #59 - Skyscraper/Tower with
.I don't have another connection right now, but I will check back.
Finished my book for #39 (fireplace):Murder in the Locked Library (Book Retreat #4), by Ellery Adams, finished 4/2 ★★★★
If this works, I can take #73 / clock:
The 13th Hour, by Richard Doetsch
If you'll accept that book, then I'll add a tool (hammer, saw, etc.) to the list :)
Finished my book for item #73 (clock):The 13th Hour, by Richard Doetsch, finished 4/8 ★★★★.5
I can take item #81, tool (hammer, saw, etc.), with Wicked Fix, by Sarah Graves
New item : music notes or musical instrument
Jan - you missed my completion post in message 222 for skyscraper/tower.I can then take #72 Teapot with
by Vicki Delany.New Item: A writing instrument (i.e. pencil, pen, quill)
I'm not enjoying the book I chose for #33 - Dragons. I'm pretty sure I won't get through it before it's due back, so to be safe lets switch to Dragonsong by Anne McCaffrey, which I know I like. Though it's been years since I read it. - so fun! Thanks.

The dragon wilds are the only ones I have not read but they come near the end of the overall series. I have liked most of the series but there was one trilogy that was just so so for me.

I've read Fool's Errand and enjoyed it but not enough to motivate me to read more. Though I'm trying to read outside my comfort zone more this year, so I thought I'd try a different kind of Hobb.
I don't hate Dragon Keeper, but I have to make myself pick it up and read a little. It jumps around a lot, for one thing, and I'm not fond of that. I tend to get lost in the book world, and authors who keep pulling me out of one world to plunk me down someplace else disrupt that. Plus I feel like there's too much being held back - who is Erik and what are the birds about? Why are so many rain people born deformed? Like I said, it's not working for me.
I don’t like the way they number the books so while it is the first book of the rain wilds, it is book 10 in the whole series. Reading the Liveship Traders trilogy would make it easier to understand the Rain Wild people. I have only been able to get my husband to listen to the very first book, it just was not for him.

I read lots of series out of order, sometimes it hardly matters, but other times it really makes a difference.
I can take #79 - artwork - with
by Jonathan Miles. The cover is a famous painting done by Théodore Géricault.New Task: A road sign on the cover, i.e. Stop, Yield, One Way...
Finished The Hatchling by Kathryn Lasky.Next I can take #83 - Dog - with
by Carol Ryrie Brink.New task: Person wearing red

Oh, I loved Caddie Woodlawn! I don't know how many times I read it growing up. I should check it out and read it again. Maybe my 9 year old niece would like it, too. :)

One of my very favorites!
I finished #3 Dragon, with Dragonsong by Anne McCaffrey. It's been many years since I read that and it was fun to revisit it. I'll come back and make another link later.
I finished 6. Compass The RithmatistI can take 63. Horse with Imager's Battalion
