New Item: Black cat

message 60: by Jan, Moderator (last edited Jan 28, 2018 10:06AM) (new)

Jan | 20942 comments Amy - Black Cat (#28) has already been on the list. Would you mind picking something different?

message 61: by Jody (new)

Jody (jodybell) | 52 comments First time joining in!

I'll take 20. Striped Piece of Clothing - I'm currently listening to Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah.

Born a Crime Stories From a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah

As soon as I joined the group, I saw you have this planned as a group read in March - you are in for a treat. I'm only halfway through, and it is incredible. If you can, I'd definitely recommend the audiobook. Funnily enough, I have never heard of Trevor Noah but found it on a list of best audiobooks, and he had me captivated from the first sentence.

New Item: A rock, or rocks. (I don't think that's been on the list yet ... but my eyes have failed me before!)

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks! I want to add a brooklet or trickle (something small, not a big river)

message 72: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20942 comments That's funny Rosa - I've never heard the work trickle in this context. Must be an European term.

message 81: by Barb (last edited Feb 01, 2018 04:37PM) (new)

Barb | 1647 comments Ooops, sorry LOL Hmmm ... In honor of the Olympics, which start in a week, how about a ring-shaped item on the cover? Something like a hula hoop, a ring, even a donut, but not a solid circle like a plate or the moon.

message 82: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20942 comments Thanks Barb!!

message 83: by Kathryn (new)

I know I posted here the day after I sent the last post, but maybe that was the time that Goodreads was glitchy and was not always saving my posts. How about we go with a cowboy hat!

message 84: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20942 comments Thanks Kathryn!!

message 85: by Karen (last edited Feb 04, 2018 06:58AM) (new)

Karen | 621 comments Good morning! Happy Superbowl Sunday!

I finished #28 - black cat - Carbonel The King of Cats (Carbonel, #1) by Barbara Sleigh by Barbara Sleigh. Loved it.

I can take #41 if we can agree that this is a small stream - not the lake in front but the river behind it. The Goose Girl (The Books of Bayern #1) by Shannon Hale by Shannon Hale.

If so, new item, a wild animal of the mammal genus. No birds or fish. If not, I'll be back.

message 86: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20942 comments I'll take that for a small stream Karen! I'm so glad you loved Carbonel since you read it because of me...LOL

message 87: by Karen (new)

Karen | 621 comments And am using it in another Wanderlust challenge as a book rated five stars by a Goodreads friend!

message 95: by Teri-K (last edited Feb 06, 2018 12:52PM) (new)

Teri-K | 1270 comments I finished #29 - a religious building with Vengeance in Death by J.D. Robb.

It was so good I couldn't stop listening, even though I've read it multiple times before. Plus I got a long walk, cleaned house and baked a birthday cake for my 3 year-old-grandson, all while helping Eve solve the case. lol

Does police tape count for a ribbon? Like Conspiracy in Death (In Death, #8) by J.D. Robb ?
Or does that look like red ribbon on Holiday in Death (In Death, #7) by J.D. Robb ?
Just asking in case... :)

message 96: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20942 comments Wow Teri! That's why I love audios. Great way to multi-task and make the chores more fun.

I would take the red ribbon on Holiday in Death but not the police tape.

Let me know is you are going to claim it.

message 97: by Teri-K (new)

Teri-K | 1270 comments Thanks, Jan, In that case I'll take #34 Ribbon with Holiday in Death (In Death, #7) by J.D. Robb by J.D. Robb.

Let's add an easy one - a sword or knife. (That way you don't have to decide if it's long enough to be a sword. lol)

message 98: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20942 comments Sounds good Teri...thanks!

message 99: by [deleted user] (new)

would you take this stamp-thingy for a ring-shaped object or has it to be something more involved with the coverdesign?

Absolute Liability (A Southern Fraud Thriller, #1) by J.W. Becton

message 100: by Jan, Moderator (last edited Feb 07, 2018 10:19AM) (new)

Jan | 20942 comments I will Rosa - with the double lines it looks like a ring to me. Please confirm that you want to claim it and I will mark you down.
