Juljulie | 15 comments To Susy and Blagica : thank you for your support! I have finished my second book "Sand and Ash", and am about to start on my third "Little Fires Everywhere". I need help with book #4. The challenge says "4 books linked by the 4 elements", and book#1 I'd Earth. Could you suggest a few books in this category?

Hi JulJulie! I can't really think of a book I've read, but had a look at my TBR. What about The Fifth Season / The Broken Earth series? It's about orogenes -- those who wield the power of the earth as a weapon.

Juljulie | 15 comments Blagica, it is a good feeling to know that someone is noticing my progress (which is somewhat slow), and cheering me on! I have been constant reader all my life - there is always 3 to 4 books on my bedside table, but this is the first time that I'm doing it in an "organized" way, with a target in sight. I'm following the Goodreads 2018 reading challenge list (hence the choice of Lahiri's "unaccustomed earth"as book#4..(4 books linked by the 4 elements: Book #1 Earth). Now for no.5...A book about or inspired by real events

Juljulie | 15 comments Dear Blagica, Susy....can either of you send me a link to the page where all the participants of the 2018 GoodReads reading challenge are sharing their updates? I want to share my reading experience with everyone. I am new to this, so apologies if my request is very basic

Susy (susysstories) Hi Juljulie, I’m not sure what you are referring to.

In this group you have your own page (this one actually or your member corner) where you share what books you’ve read and your thoughts on them. There’s no one page where everybody shares his/her experiences. Unless it’s a group or buddy read of course.

Then there is the yearly Reading Challenge. I see you’ve already set that to 52 books of which you have read 4. I believe you can add updates there as well (just click on your picture and then select Reading Challenge). And of course you can add your review when finishing a book.

If you meant something else please let me know.

Juljulie | 15 comments Hello Blagica, Thank you the link, where I will be posting my thoughts. I seem to have reached a kind of block with my latest book, "The Liar's club", and am barely making any progress :( Not sure why. Have fallen behind my target. Will make up - or at least will try to. I have some thoughts on this slow down, which I would like to share with other readers, and will use the link above to see if others face such blocks now & then

Juljulie | 15 comments Hello Susy, Thank you for your response. I have the GoodReads app on my mobile, which I refer to frequently, and I also access GR on my desktop. However (maybe because I am new to it), I often face challenges in navigating my way through the app/website. For example - on the GR app on my mobile, I just cannot reach the list of 52 topics of the GR Reading Challenge 2018. I have to use Google to get to the list.
Anyway, I have identified some videos on YouTube which explains the layout/basics of GR, and I plan to go through those. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in some time.
