Another excellent story. I like the whole family thing that is going on in the current books. And I liked that for once Cork didn't blame himself endlessly for Stephen's shooting. I am already looking forward to the next book.

I loved the moral and ethical challenges they all faced and how they responded, though I’m still deeply disappointed in Cork. I took a star off because Krueger is not evolving him in that way. I found it hard to believe he would have made the decision to sleep with Stella, given his relationship with both Rainy and Henry. It was a step backwards for him and that’s just not where Krueger had taken him.
Otherwise, this was a deep and intricate story. Lots going on here and was just about perfect in execution.

I wondered why you only gave it four stars! You are absolutely right about Cork and I felt some disappointment in him when he gave in to Stella. It reminded me of how he was when we first met him.
