When the scene ended with Evelyn being approached by a man wielding a knife, did you think she was murdered? Did you question whether she was alive or dead when she turned up missing?

[Phrynne]

I assumed she was murdered and by someone she knew well. I half expected it to be her husband at that point.

[Jonetta]

I thought she was dead right after that scene but as the story progressed, I started to wonder, especially after learning she’d had an affair with Cecil. Maybe she was being held somewhere to punish the judge but preserved because of her relationship with Cecil.
