Just finished it today. I loved that we got to see more of the world (both in terms of the setting and the world building). There was some neat alternate history and feelings about oppression, identity, diaspora, and resistance.

I'm so happy to hear this! I miss reading alternate history and need to pick it up asap. Friends on the Lit CelebrAsian team who have read it also loved the diaspora and identity aspects!
