and I'm trying my best to hold it together
I feel like a hostage inside my head sometimes
My little sibling is about to take off to a different state and who knows when I'll see them again and I want to cry because I want to go to their graduation but I don't want to see my father
I feel like I'm broken
like I'm not going to ever be enough for myself or for anyone
A part of me feels like I should just be alone
and how can anyone care if I don't care
I'm in love with someone I don't even know
All this time and nothing's changed except I have chnaged
I'm someone my younger self never would have recognized
It's been almost a year since I last tried to kill myself
I thought that if I could just kill myself everyone would be okay
because I had to have been the problem
I let my mother convince me that was the truth
Now I'm outside of her grasp and I still feel that way sometimes
I still feel like I deserve to die because that's the mindset I've been dealt with
