Why Do You Write?
Hahaha, Those are some of the reasons I didn't write!Good reasons!!
i wirte because of my characters......yes i am the freak that talks to her characters and does what they tell me. sometimes. i come up with a plot and characters and they get really close to me and i love them like family and i cant stand to see them unhappy. me writting about them makes them happy so thats why i write. and i want to know what happens at the end of the story.
I write to live. If I didn't write I'd probably lose my mind. I write to love. Yeah, I kind of get attached to a character and sometimes it pains me to give one of my favorite characters a sticky end. I write to escape, fromk school,from work,from problems. I write for entertainment because it seems to soothe me. I write to get rid of people I can't normally. Like name a character after somkeone you don't get along with and destroy them in the book.(yes, i have problems,but i usually don't use the real person's name.) I write for ideas. I love when people tell me how to improve or how the plot should twist.
One reason I write was because my older sister wrote short stories a lot, and I wanted to be like her. When I actually got in front of the screen, though, with a keyboard I knew then how it felt to create worlds of your own and people. I made characters that inspired me. Also it made me feel like I wasn't alone anymore (I am a kinda a hermit). I started writing when I was about 8 yrs old. I am now 13 (almost 14). Half a decade and I still feel that same feeling.

I write because without writing a would be a really depressed, mad,(more) cynical perosn. Even though I am some of those things already I would be a lot worse. Writing lets me convey my emotions out on paper and is sort of theraputic. Plus you can write about anything and the possiblities are endless, unlike real life.
If I lost all my writing, I'd go into such a deep depression I don't know how I'd get out.
Same here, I almost lost this story I wrote and it was my first big long story , I hope no one mocks me for this, but I started crying and I was sad for a couple of days till I figured out what happened.

i wud start crying 2!i write cuz its fun and you have complete control over everything that happens and it just kinda feels rlly good
also, its a gr8 stress reliever
i like to cuz its fun and for something to do when im super bored or something to think about when im zoning out in school :P
xcept now i finished my story so i have nothing to do except plan my nano story :( but now im stuck between two....hmmmm

ya same except now i have 2 ideas but i think im gonna stick with the first one, its more like, deep. i have like, a first chapter in my head and i RLY wanna write it down but i cant :(

Me too. I have two ideas that are battling in my head about who will actually become the story. Its pretty epic.
ha ha ive got my plot sorted out now i need 2 just get down on paper the beginning middle and end instead of it just flitting around my mind :)its my first time doing nanowrimo, so what do u think wud b a reasonable word count goal? im trying to go for 50,000 but.....how did u guys do on ur first one?
it took me 2 mths 4 VS which was about 30,000 but i wasnt really pushing myself. i think i put 35,000. if i go over, great, if i dont, o well. its my first time tho, so im still testing the waters :P

i write to live
if i didnt write, i would go crazy.
i write for my enjoyment.
i get to create a plot, build up tension, i get to escape from this world while actually finding out more about it(does that make sense?)
I write for the enjoyment of others
I just love how you can get lost in a book, how you can escape and dive through it's pages. So partly, I write so I can give that joy to someone else
I write to let go of all the tension and emotions buliding up inside me and trap into the words of my story instead. Writing is just my thing.
