Calming? You think so? I find myself drawn into all my characters' emotions, which is rarely calm. Hahaha. I honestly don't know why I write, really. I just do.
yea... it calms me to... different books get different ideas in different places... like when i go to the park i think about the treehouse in Treethop... it helps me think of describing things
Ugh. Just thinking about writing poems makes me want to break out in hives.
I'd probably like them more if I were good at them, hahaha.

It's part of my charm. Along with a ton of sarcasm and a very healthy ego. Haha.

I write because if I don't the stories come anyway, and writing freaks people out less then walking around talking the story out to myself :D

Wow, great question. I'm not even sure I have just one reason for writing. I write when I'm bored, when I'm happy, overwhelmed, angry, depressed, anxious...I just love to write. Sometimes I do it to calm down, sometimes just for fun, sometimes because I need to release. It's strange to me that not everyone gets the satisfaction of writing (or even reading) that I do.
I bring a notebook to school and write when I have time. I like having all my friends demanding that I write ten pages every night (that doesn't happen)...
I do that too. =] I'm in college, so I have gaps between classes usually, but sometimes I have a moment where I just have to write some idea down, or a phrase/word/name I know I want to use.
Right now I have started a story so I am always writing. I am in high school. Everyone who sees me more than once a day is always asking what I am dioing in there. I don't like telling people what it is about. I just give it to them and they just start reading, no questions asked.

I went to California a couple of years ago, and the whole time I was there, me and my friend were schitzo! It was so fun!!!
i write because i love it. i lose myself in the stories. it's like my head is filled with ideas and books, and one i put my pen on paper, they seem to write themselves. read one of my books. loving landen, and you'll see what i mean.

I write to express myself and my imagenation. I write to escape the real world.
I write to show my anger and happiness and sorrow.
I write because its my passion.
I write because I love too.
But most of all I write because its part of who I am.

I write because I have these stories in my head, inspired by an experience or a person or just plain inspiration, and I feel obligated to write it down, to tell their story.
cuz ideas bounce off inside my head and i need them on paper. =)
I write for multiple reasons.1. I get to make my characters do whatever I want.
2. To releave my anger on the world.
3. I GET SO BORED!!!
4. To let my imagination roam and spread it with others.
5. My freinds beg me to write.
6. I want to get out of this boring life!
7. I LOVE ANIME!!!!!
8. It helps me pass the time.
9. I have too much time.
10. Last but not least..... I LOVE TO WRITE!!!!!!!!!
I write to survive! I think I would dye of boredom or go crazy and live in my own fantasy word all the time if I didn't write it down... it's a way of keeping myself sane lol.
I write because when I write I can forget everything around me and make my own fantasy world, where I can decide what happens
