Here it is!

message 2: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments YAy! How's it going?

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Good! How are you? Oh, by the way, sorry I didn't reply sooner. I've been busy.

message 4: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments That's fine, I'm pretty busy myself. I'm good. Have any ideas?

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Kind of...would you rather do realistic or fantasy/supernatural/sci fi?

message 6: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments What are your ideas?

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

I have two, but both are fantasy related:

1. The girl is an assassin, living on the streets of one kingdom, and the boy is the prince of a different kingdom who is visiting. One day the boy captures the girl, but he lets her go, and we can develop it more in rp

2. No matter where she moves, fires follow the girl everywhere, and they leave her with mysterious golden scars on her arms. In one fire where she thinks she will die, a boy rescues her, and he tells her she can control fire, e.t.c.

Do you have any ideas?

message 8: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments I always have ideas...but that's beside the point. Usually my ideas are different and less of the normal romance, boyxgirl thing. But here's my ideas:

1. Girl is at school when she's greeted by a stranger. They both share similar physical qualities; white-silver hair and grey eyes. Man says he's her father. [he's an immortal while she was experimented and created with immortal's blood] [Supernatural]

2. Two people in a halfway house. Both have very different problems, but both love rock [or some other more controversial music]. They decide to escape the halfway house and try their luck in the real world. [realistic]

3. The world is full of flying islands along with the surface dwellers. The surface is hostile and prehistoric, while the flying islands are highly advanced. Those from the flying islands are called Angels [bc they have mechanical wings] while those on the ground are called Savages. One day, an Angel falls to the ground. [Fantasy]

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

I like those...I'm fine with anything, but I'd rather not do realistic if that's ok. What do you want to do?

message 10: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments any is fine by me.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Ummm...should we do one of mine or one of yours?

message 12: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Whichever you think will have the better story. Or at least one that you think we can make epic...and keep going in the long run.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmm...I like your islands idea, and I've thought out my assassin idea for a while...which one would you rather do?

message 14: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments I'll leave it to you.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Um...we could combine them! We could have the boy be an Angel, sent to hunt for the girl, but he's really soft hearted so that's why he lets her go...would you be ok with that?

message 16: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments What if we switch the roles? The assassin is the angel who was attacked and fleeing from the city, fell to earth and meets boy who's the tribe's prince. I think that would work better.

[[sorry, family issues at the moment will respond, just might take some time]]

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

((That's okay))

Yeah, that would! So do you want to be the assassin or the prince?

message 18: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments YOu said you had the assassin already planned out, so I'll be the prince.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay!

Name: Oaklyn Costa (goes by Shadow)
Age: 19
Appearance: Blonde hair that she dyes black, dark blue eyes, pale-ish skin, height is 5'9
Background: She's secretly one of the twin princesses of the Islands, but after her parents were killed in a rebellion, she was forced to escape and use her skills to become an assassin. Her sister is still alive, but she doesn't know that.
Personality: She actually doesn't like killing that much, but she'll do it for money. She's determined and appears fearless (she isn't, though - not even close), and she wants revenge on the people who killed her family.

message 20: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Name: Just'n of Wallok
Age: 17
Appearance:
He has dark skin, dark brown eyes, and is 5'11
Background: He's been the Chief's son, but always had a fascination with the Islands above. He would often go to the junk yards, where the Islands threw their trash and scavenge for things to collect. He's been collecting things since he was little and even has a little hideaway where he keeps his treasures.
Personality: Playful, full of energy, curious, and fearless. He's very strong willed, but also loves to learn.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Cool! I like him! So, do you want to start, or should I start?

message 22: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Why don't you start with your character falling to earth.

message 23: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 22, 2014 07:50AM) (new)

Okay!

Shadow still had her eyes closed after the impact. She wondered how long she had been lying there. Anyone who passed would think she was dead.
Detachedly, Shadow thought about opening her eyes, and accepting the reality that she wasn't on her island anymore. That the rebellion had happened. That she was alone.
She opened her eyes and got to her feet, grabbing knives from her belt. This isn't real, it can't be. Maybe if she pretended she was dreaming, she'd forget what had happened on the island, still floating on, leaving her behind as if nothing had happened.
Shadow walked forward into the darkness.

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Just'n was scavenging for items that fell from the Islands. He did this almost every day as long as no one caught him. With his bag in hand, Just'n picked up shinny items as well as rusted old items. All seemed relevant to his collection. Anything that caught his eye was snatched up and put in the satchel. Just'n got closer to the center of the dump...right below the islands. Looking around, he found something he's never seen before in his life. It was a metal feather of some sort. As he examined it, he realized that it was part of something like a flying mechanism. Just'n looked around for more pieces, and found them scattered around the little area. It seemed weird to Just'n as he picked more pieces up. In the distance, he saw something moving. It was getting further from him, so he began to follow.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Shadow retracted her metal wings when she heard the sound. It was slight, and if not for her training, she wouldn't have heard it, but someone was following her. She walked faster, not letting on that she had heard anything, but making herself harder to track by turning any corner she could find, at random. Below the Islands was like a maze of crumbling walls and fallen rocks.
All the training she had recieved from her father, all the bullying from her sister, made Shadow a very skilled assassin. She smiled to herself. Whoever was following her was in for a surprise.

message 26: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Just'n wasn't the fastest, nor was he the strongest, but he could track. That was one thing he learned from his older brother. Once he chased a heard of wild buffins for three weeks. Of course, tracking a human is more difficult than animals. He could tell by the change in their gait and the sporadic nature of their movements, that they knew he was following them. What they didn't know was this is his turf. He knew these woods like the back of his hand. At the rate they were going they were headed for Offur's Ridge, a large steep wall of rock that spanned miles across. Trying to climb it was insane and trying to follow it till it ends was also nuts. All he had to do was keep a relatively close pace behind them and he'd catch up, eventually.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

Shadow could still feel the person following her. She narrowed her eyes. He was good, but she was better. She saw a wall of rock ahead of her - smooth, and stretching out as far as the eye could see. o that's your plan. They wanted to trap her against this. But they'd overlooked something. Shadow had wings.
Vaulting upward, Shadow opened her wings. Aside from a small metallic sound, they were completely silent as she flew up the ridge.

message 28: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments [[I thought they were broken...]]

Just'n watched as the person shot up into the air. It was amazing to watch...like an angel. He couldn't imagine what it felt like to fly. Something told him it was an amazing feeling. As he watched he stepped out into the light, revealing himself. Just'n forgot for a moment the dangers of the world and was a child with dreams and fantasies of other worlds. He smiled still awe-inspired.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

((Almost broken, but Shadow doesn't know that yet))

Shadow flew to the top of the ridge, planning on scouting, but as soon as she got to the top, her wings gave out. "Shoot!" Fortunately, she landed on top of the ridge, safe from her tracker, with nothing more than bruised and scraped knees.
Half - heartedly, Shadow examined her wings. They were damaged beyond repair, of course. Cursing, she retracted them, and continued walking away from the edge of the ridge.

message 30: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Just'n didn't follow, giving up the chase. He knew where she was headed, but it would be pointless if she could fly. Smiling to himself, Just'n walked back towards his tribe. It was a relatively big night since it was their festival of lights. The northern lights were scheduled to appear tonight and he had to be there, as the Chief's Son.

[[I won't be on much since I'm going in vaca for the weekend. Sorry]]

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

((That's okay))

Shadow wandered aimlessly through the barren landscape, thinking about the events at the palace. She still remembered the shouts, the footsteps in the hall, her father's scream, Avalon holding the knife...she shuddered. Thank the gods Avalon wasn't with her right now. Lost in thought, Shadow soon forgot to look around for trackers and animals.

message 32: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments [[sorry just got back and been busy]]

Just'n made it back in time for the ceremony. He was pulled by his younger sister who began to pull and tug at his clothes and hair. "You look like you've been rolling in mud," she said in regards to his appearance. Just'n didn't reply as he sat quietly and allowed her to play with his hair and stuff. When she was finished, the ceremony was about to begin.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

((It's fine. I'm actually busy right now and can't reply, but I'm going on vaca tomorrow so I won't be able to reply as much anymore. Sorry.))

message 34: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments [[That's ok.]]

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

((I'm back on!))

Shadow heard claws scraping behind her, and spun around. She couldn't see much in the dark, but she got the impression of a huge beast, much bigger than she was. Not pausing for a second, she ran away, shoving her knives back into their sheaths while running. She could hear the thing running after her, grunting. With luck, it was better at ambush than at speed. Shadow gritted her teeth and ran faster.

message 36: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments [[sorry been busy as well]]

Just'n kept to the back as others danced and sung around him, praising the gods. As the oldest son, he was required to perform some of the dances but not all. After most of the festivities were over, Just'n slipped away to his hut. Still in his ceremonial garb, Just'n smiled. In the dirt were tracks of a large beast that he'd been hunting for two days now. With his satchel and a spear, Just'n set off to find his prey.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

((I didn't have Wifi for a few days, do I couldn't reply! Sorry))

Shadow dove behind a boulder, hoping the beast was stupid. Things that big usually were. Holding her breath, she waited, every muscle tense and ready to run.
She heard the beast sprint on past her, and she ran back in the direction she had come in. Even if it was smart, her maneuver would buy her a several seconds.
Shadow abruptly turned right, remembering the cliff she was running toward. She could no longer hear the beast's footsteps, so she risked a glance behind her. Seeing nothing, she slowed to a walk.
