What do you think of the book so far? How do you feel about our protagonist Lincoln? What about Beth and Jennifer?

Katie (keschultz) It was hard to get past the creepy aspect of him reading their e-mail. It made me paranoid about my internet usage at work. I know they monitor things, but now I'm wondering to what extent...do they know I am currently writing this review on work time?

I also pictured Lincoln to be a cliche IT guy...tall, super skinny, with glasses, who wears tennis shoes and cargo shorts and the same Hawaiian print button up shirt 3 days a week because it is his "good shirt" and the other days he rotates between his Star Wars and his Jurassic Park t-shirts. (<--I know that was oddly specific but that is what I pictured)

I was surprised that later on in the book I learned he is very different than this picture I had of him.

Deborah (deborahsplans) The book is good. I'm not eager to read it every chance I get like some books. But I'm still interested in seeing how it ends.

Beth, so far, is my favorite. I love her sarcastic tone and she's actually pretty funny.

Lincoln is a likeable character but I kind of feel a little sorry for him. With where his life is right now, how he hates his job, still mourning the breakup with his ex girlfriend. I want something good to happen for him. He seems so sweet.

That's one hell of a description, and it's hilarious! I know what you mean about being paranoid about online activity. Sometimes when ads pop up on my sidebar based on my google searches, it really freaks me out. But then I thought about how this book is set 1999 when the internet was like this totally new phenomena that people didn't know what to do with and it makes me feel a little better lol

Beth is my best friend in my head! & I was rooting for Lincoln from the beginning too. Once I realized that his form of entertainment was reading the emails of two women he didn't know, I knew he needed some excitement in his life! But then I think about it...I definitely derive at least a little bit of excitement from reading blogs of girls I don't know ;\ hmm...the only difference is I'm not a lurker like he is (at least not most of the time!)
