I'll start today as well, but not sure how much I will read. This is going to be a busy weekend. (Gag... I'm not a social person, but everyone wants to do stuff! haha)Chapter 1: I've read this before, I'm sure. I've read so many of the "classic" R L Stine books. I can't remember who "Me" or Chief is.
Nice description of a spider. I'm no longer really scared of spiders (or snakes for that matter) as I was as an influenced child/kid.(Because everyone was afraid of them, my mom and sister still are to a high degree.) I just don't want them suddenly on me, as with other bugs. (I've debated getting a tarantula. haha and I have a snek now. (What I call my snake Sobek. hehe)
Of course, another cliffhanger chapter...
I finished the book before April even started. Hahaha I did like it, but gave it a 3 star. I'm tired of the cheesy jump scares, girl hate and how he makes every boy seem like the evil, bad guy, also don't like how he makes the guys treat the main character.(view spoiler)
Latasha wrote: "I haven’t read anymore today."No worries. I have no social life or anything. I'll be busy this weekend with Easter and stuff, though.
I've read the first 8 chapters so far. I'm liking it. It's probably going to take me a few days to finish it as i'm also trying to finish another book.Debra...needs to chill. I like Holly, I can't relate to her much (I'll kill spiders! I like bats and I love horror movies. I love to be scared) but she is nice. I like her.
The only thing i'm wondering right now is why the red feathers? And who is writing the letters to the Chief, whoever the Chief is...
I don't have much of a social life either but I've been working on flower beds in my yard until I get frustrated & quit.
I don't have any social life either. Sorry i've been busy with other things today though. I hope to finish it in the next few days. I didn't get any more read of it today.
A late reply, but hope those who celebrate had a good (lazy?) Easter Sunday. heheChapter 9 reply to Latasha
(view spoiler)
Latasha wrote: "If this took place in Shadyside, i wouldn’t be sure if the police could be trusted either lol!"Lol true!
Chapter 14 reply to Leigha(view spoiler)
I've read 21 chapters so far. Hopefully I can finish it tonight.
I just finished and I admit I would of probably left after the snake in the bed and definitely after the leeches. I think this book is a good three stars. The ending was a little rushed and I figured out who the killer was early on but, it was still a fun ride.
Latasha wrote: "Chapter 25- damn it Uncle bill! I’ve about had it with you!!"Vote to get rid of Uncle Bill.... <.< >.< >.> I mean... vote to send him on a long vacation, because he clearly needs one.
Stephanie wrote: "I didn't even think of Thea for some reason. That would have been a surprise plot twist."I didn't either. I forgot she was even in the book as she wasn't mentioned as much as the others after the first half.

I agree Mick was scary. no way in hell would I ever be alone with him.
Mick seemed to have some major anger management issues and Thea seemed really selfish and very bad at the whole friend thing.
Ashley wrote: "Mick seemed to have some major anger management issues and Thea seemed really selfish and very bad at the whole friend thing."Definitely agree. I may not have suspected her but I was annoyed at her being so bad at being a friend. I was annoyed at practically everyone through-out the book with the way they were treating and ignoring Holly.

That was....awful >.<
Hello people :)It is almost May. Are we still down for The First Evil? I can't wait, the cheerleader series and The First Horror (99 Fear Street series) were/are my favorite Fear Street series as cheesy as they are. I know I'm probably going to pick up on things I don't like or are cringy/problematic since I'm more of a critical reader now, but I hope it has the same nostalgic feel.
The problem is... I'm going to want to read the rest of the Cheerleader books. lol (I do own them all. They are somewhere among my books.)
Yes! I can’t remember much about themBut I know I loved 99 fear street. I only have the 2nd one of those.
Latasha wrote: "I bet I’ll have that same problem. I have the first 3 then not sure about the other 2?"99 Fear Street was only ever 3 books I believe:

The cheerleaders had the main trilogy, a prequel and I think a sequel book to the trilogy:

One of the cheerleader books might not be a prequel, but I was sure there was a prequel somewhere. Maybe for another series with a similar title.
