No worries at all Leigha. Hope you're feeling more reading-minded soon, this is quite a fun one.

I really liked this one--it might be one of my new favorites. I thought the dual time line was well done and it kept me guessing. I do wish it had been a little more "holiday" oriented. I felt like Christmas and New Year's were sort of just thrown in there but overall it was a really good one.
I finished it. The jokes really got under my skin. Very annoying and cruel. I hate how the boys (mostly Artie) have such anger management issues and entitlement toward the girls. Take a chill pill, Artie!I am so glad I never had to deal with a bunch of teenage drama.
I don't think I'm going to be able to join this month, I can't get a copy here and shipping it from the U.S. is just too much. Sorry guys :-(
I don't know if it helps any but I don't have The Surprise Party by itself, I have it in the collector's Edition #1 The Beginning which has The New Girl, The Surprise Party and The Overnight in one bind up. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... I'm about to start The Surprise Party
Sorry guys, I am way behind. I do not know where the first half of the month went! I've been kind of in a reading slump, only really able to read manga/comics and I haven't even read one of those since the end of Jan! (Nothing wrong with just feeling like reading manga (all reading counts!) or not wanting to read at all. *ramble* )Chapter 2

Reading is reading!
I finished it. The book felt like a big mess to me, but maybe that is just me! It wasn't that I did not like it, of course.I think I would have enjoyed the book more if my mind/body wasn't being a pain in the butt all the time and let me just focus on the hobbies I want to enjoy! I'm going with 3 stars. Oh, and Stine, stop slut shaming (view spoiler)
I'm sorry it was a big mess to you and that you're mind/body is being a pain in the butt all the time. I definitely feel that. Mine's really been affecting me as well. All the *hugs*.
Thanks, Ty! Thanks, Latasha!Well, mess or not, I did like it. 3 stars for me is not a bad thing. To be honest, a lot of things end up 3 stars when I'm conflicted on how to rate things. I've had books go through every star rating before.
I'm glad you still liked it at least. 3 stars isn't bad for me either. Less than 3 is but a solid 3 stars is not a bad thing for me either.
I just started The Hitchhiker. The tone feels different.... oh yeah, this one isn't a Fear Street book. (Same "lovely" cliffhanger chapters, though!)Chapter 3: (view spoiler)
Starting the hitchhiker tonight. I liked Key West. I'll try to post a picture of their trees. They look so cool and not like normal trees at all.
My sister swears up and down I picked up some hitch hikers back when we were teenagers. I don’t remember it at all. It isn’t something I would do but I don’t think she’d lie about it either so I don’t know.
Melanie wrote: "I've started the Hitchhiker, chapter 7 [spoilers removed]"i haven't got to that part yet.
Well I'm just over half-way through and this book is going off in a couple of different directions, not the usual recipe, but I am enjoying it.
I like metal AND pop like new kids on the block, so what does that make me? lol What I listen to depends on my mood I guess. I like it all. I have just finished chapter 9.
I've read 14 chapters. I think i'm done for the moment. I am enjoying it so far and my mind is trying to figure out what is really going on.
I am reading, slowly. I've been having a lot of anxiety and sick feelings and just not in the mood to read RL Stine that much. My sickness is caused by anxiety, which causes flares with my lung diseases and other health issues. Even though I've self-isolated as much as I can (family still have to come and go for work) due to being immunocompromised, I'm freaking out that I am going to get covid19. I'm in the high-risk group of people dying from it.
Sorry for rambling. I hope everyone else is doing okay! Stay safe!
