^_^I'm just nervous about the ending. I have a friend on here who loves R.L.Stine and fear street who hated this book and something to do with the ending. I didn't look at what exactly because of spoilers which were tagged, so I didn't click.
But i've read the first 11 chapters so far, 1/2 the book! :)
I'm on chapter 11. I have no idea how this ends. I don't remember any of it. chapter 10
(view spoiler)
I've always wondered why Stine describes Fear Street as an actual street when logically it seems more like a neighborhood.

I don't believe I ever read this one. If I did it's completely left my mind. Any books I might have had would have been lost to a fire years ago, so all I have to go on is memory, and mine sucks.

I think fear street is just a street in shadysude. I never picture it like it’s described in the books. I always saw it as a run down , these House are condemned street. Lawns overgrown, just the worse of the worse. But he usually describes it as having old run down Victorians on each side of the street. Back in the day, I had a map of Shadyside. Did any of you have it? I think u can still buy them on eBay.

Chapter 12- Red Heat. Lol R.L is so creative with naming places 😝 Melissa’s outfit?!?? Hahaha such nostalgia.
I finished the book. I can see why your friend got upset but it didn’t bother me. I’m giving this one 3 ⭐️(view spoiler)
Yeah, looking at the non-spoiler section i'm thinking we are reading it a bit differently, though I see what they are saying. I'm liking it so far. Hope to finish it tomorrow. I don't think this is going to get 5 stars from me, but probably 3-4 is my current guess, of course i'm staying away from the spoiler section so I don't actually know what the twist is yet. I also thought it was a different person, one who loves fear street stuff. My memory sucks and I suck at being very observant >.< so there is also that. I'm also tired. >.<
But I am enjoying it so far :)
Well i'm done, given it 3 stars. I do need to think on it though.(view spoiler)
I thought. I reviewed. I give it 3.25 stars. I liked it :)
I liked Haunted over-all and it got me thinking. I could see parts of it happening in real life. Ending up feeling for Melissa.I'm excited for the months to come. One of my goals for this year was to read some Fear Street books, so when I saw this challenge it was perfect! :)
I have been going back and re-reading them but it always funner when you can talk about the book. These were a big chunk of my YA reading.
That spoiler, true!It definitely does make it funner when you can talk about the book to others :) I think I read more Goosebumps than Fear Street but I know I read at least a couple of them. R.L. Stine got me into reading, if I could read all of his books one day that'd be great. I don't know if that'll happen though lol but I can try.
Okay so I just finished it. It was the first Fear Street book I had read which is why I suggested it for the first one. I admit it wasn't quite as good as I remembered, but it was still entertaining. I gave it 3 stars. Melissa at times was kind of frustrating and Paul was just nuts.
I have a few books left over from January I need to finish first. So I'll probably start around mid month.
I will wait for you ladies and start later this month as well. I'm in the middle of a book currently and have another one to read before a bookclub at the end of the month. Can't wait to revist Fear Street though.
Chapter 7- Josie is a bitch. I think that’s going to be my review for the whole book. (view spoiler)
I won't be getting to this until the last week/bit of February. I'll still be getting to it in February it'll just be late February. I'm currently reading something (The Girl in 6E) thanks to ContemporaryAThon which ends the 18th, then I have to read a book I just got approved for on Netgalley which is archived the 25th, so i'll have that done by then then i'll be reading Broken Hearts, which shouldn't take more than a couple days anyway :) Sorry for being so late on this one. I'll make sure to read March's as soon as possible.
I'll be starting Broken Hearts tomorrow, or technically later today because it's past midnight :p Sorry it's so late but they are quick reads. :)
Ohhh!! I really want to join this challenge! I grew up with Fear Street and I really loved them soo much!
The more the merrier. March's book is Switched. February was Broken Hearts which some of us are still reading.
