If I’m not careful, I’ll get there quickly. I added a bunch today, lol! It’s possible that I have an addiction.

Response was:
"Hi Karen,
Thanks for reaching out and for the suggestions! I'm passing these along to our development team so they can consider them for future enhancements."

I got a widget for that one too, Karen! So far, I haven’t clicked on it, but I feel like I’m just delaying the inevitable. Lol
I also got a message about Other People's Houses. They said I could get it through NeGalley or a paper copy. I decided to get the physical copy so I could take it on vacation and it wouldn't affect my feedback ratio, which is slipping.
Widgets will be the death of my feedback ratio. I've been doing ok at not requesting too many books (who am I kidding, I've been doing terribly), but I have two widgets I haven't accepted yet and I feel like I'm just delaying the inevitable since I want to read them both.
eek! another widget. couldn't stop myself because I have absolutely loved all of her books so I didn't even read the synopsis. LOL

Great!
I think she is the next Liane Moriarty or Jojo Moyes. Definitely an author to keep an eye on.
This will be my 4th book of hers

That book looks great! I need to not look at the books y’all are reading because I’m weak and will request more to review, lol!
Hi ! Probably already been asked but I can't find the answer so I'm asking again : where can I find my feedback ratio ? I'm still new with Netgalley and I can't seem to find this. TIA :)
I'm not doing very well this month. I added two books and haven't finished any. Now, I just sent a message to a publisher telling them that I won't be reviewing their book, at least for a while. I got A Plague of Giants a while back and just can't get into it. I'm not sure what the issue is. I've started it a few times and even purchased the audio version, but nope, not working. It's too bad too. I was looking forward to this one. I really enjoyed Hearne's Iron Druid series. I'll try again in the future, but need to put it aside for awhile if I'm going to finish anything else.
Oh that’s a shame as I liked that series too. Why do you think you’re struggling with it Kristie? Not engaging enough or is it just you aren’t in the mood?
It’s very different from the Iron Druid series. It’s more epic fantasy. It’s something where you need to really get absorbed in the world building and characters. So, I think it’s something that I just need to take some time and get further into it. I don’t think I’m in the mood for that at the moment. Right now, I think it’s mostly me. I’ll try again before deciding it’s the book.

Fair enough
I need to finish the Iron Druid series first. Still have the last book to go :o

The next book, Scourged, is the last in the series. I'm waiting on that one. I also want to read Besieged, which is short stories.
Kristie wrote: "The next book, Scourged, is the last in the series. I'm waiting on that one. I also want to read Besieged, which is short stories."I didn't know that. Apparently I haven't been paying much attention, though I do enjoy the series. since he's started writing other epic fantasy, I did wonder if he was planning to wrap things up.
I'm also finding
difficult. I've been listening to the audiobook, and the darkness of the story is discouraging. It starts at least as a series of stories about different people linked together by a community "remembering" the events (major and minor) that led to them being where they are now. None are happy so far, and there seems to be some heavy foreshadowing, something I don't like. Heavy books haven't been calling to me recently, and Hearne is taking his time pulling together the threads of the many stories, many of which seem pretty unrelated.
Oh I didn’t realise there as still another (Scourged). Interesting he released something new before wrapping it up! Always annoys me when authors do that (looking at you VE Schwab and Jim Butcher. LOL)
I swear y’all are a bad influence (lol)!! I am going to have to read the Iron Druid series now! I just got Hounded.
So is Netgalley! Lol! I keep promising myself that I won’t request any more books until I review the ones I have. Then I get an email or three from them and can’t resist. I sign up for those and more. *sigh* I am a weak, weak woman.
It can be very difficult! I try not to go to the site to "just look", but now I'm getting widgets in the mail. lol
Lol! I manage to not go to just look, but that’s a recent development. But, once I click on one of the emails, I can’t help myself. Though I did just get approved to review the next book in a series that I have been reading and absolutely love. So, I guess my record isn’t that bad.
I just picked up The Crooked Staircase. I still have to read the first two in the series. I hope I like them!I also got a widget for Baby Teeth, which I picked up.
Kristie wrote: "I also got a widget for Baby Teeth, which I picked up."I got a widget for that one too. Since it doesn't come out until July, I think I'm going to wait a bit before accepting it since I won't have time for it anytime soon.
I got another widget today, but I'm not clicking that button!
It is for How Hard Can It Be? and I didn't read the first one and I'm not actually interested
Hooray - will power! lol

I was just approved for The Lucky Ones. Three approvals came in the same day! I now have 17 books on my6 shelf and an 86% feedback ratio. I now only have two books waiting on my pending shelf. I've got to get reading! I have not clicked on the widget for School for Psychics yet!
Karen ⊰✿ wrote: "eek!"I know, right!? It snuck up on me. I planned to read a bunch this month, but so far, no luck. I'm going to have to focus on it more.

The widgets are going to be the death of me! lol I'll be buried in books!
They really seem to be more frequent. I wonder if publishers are doing that rather than "auto approving" now because then they can target their books more effectively
Tiffany wrote: "So, how does this work? Do I just update again at the end of Feb?"
We start a new thread each month :)

oh ok...so I gotta redo my shelf again? There's additional incentive not to add to my book list lol...
You can leave your shelves, we just do a new post.
So you can see my December post here, where I put in books at end of month and %
and then I just copy and paste and update for the next month. January is here
