Jeremy Mifsud | 26 comments Hi everyone!

I'm Jeremy, from lovely Malta :D

So now I have to talk about myself, right? Hmm...
Well, I'm a 23-year old gay guy. I study psychology and in my free time I used to be a huge gamer, still kind-of, but I've almost desisted from gaming. Instead, I've been trying to read more and more every day :D

I am a poet, which mean, I write poetry (simple, right?) I've been writing for around 4 to 5 years. I have a blog in which I post a poem every day (give and take) as well as trying to be successful as a self-published author/poet.

I love reading poetry books, sci-fi, YA, mystery, fantasy, honestly, anything that is good!

I did ramble on a lot, didn't I? Anyway, hello everyone

Sarah Kay | 26 comments Welcome Jeremy! I studied psychology in college and absolutely loved it. I almost applied to some clinical psych PhD programs, but ultimately my destiny led elsewhere. I was particularly fascinated by abnormal/clinical psych. What's your favorite branch of psychology?

Jeremy Mifsud | 26 comments That's cool Sarah! Well, I've been undecided all throughout lol, sometimes liking counselling, sometimes Social, but I think I'm leaning towards Cognitive Neuropsychology and that kind of field. I'm absolutely loving the brain-related subjects we have and it might be the route I end up taking.

Jeremy Mifsud | 26 comments Hi Val!
As a poet, I believe the primary way to judge poems is how they make you feel when you write them - for that is the most important.
If they are well-received by others, that's an added bonus! I'd totally recommend WordPress if you were thinking about posting some online.
I'd like to believe mine are also good, but when I re-read what I write a year prior, I see a lot of missed potential. So, you know, there is decent and there is could-be-better, and I don't think anything can ever be that perfect. Luckily, the reviews for The A to Z of You and Me are above 4-star average (so far).

And yay for psychology! It's a great field to study :)

Jeremy Mifsud | 26 comments That sounds like a very dedicated and important job!
And well, sometimes writing is like the rambling that goes on between your head. if you think of the words, jot them down. if you don't think them, then you're not thinking XD

Jeremy Mifsud | 26 comments Reading is important! Sometimes I get to busy to read and my writing had reached a very... dusty level lol. Then I read a lot again and my mind is brand new

message 7: by Jeremy (new)

Jeremy Mifsud | 26 comments oh haha, that's nice (that you'd like to read).

Mainly I use Wordpress as my blog site, which is connected to my Goodreads account. I'm going to post the link anyways:

Benjamin Appleby-Dean (benjaminappleby-dean) Welcome, Jeremy!
I'm impressed by your poetry output I'm a far slower poet (about one every 6 months?)

I can write many a day... although that is not high quality. so sometimes I write a lot, and then other days when I don't have newer ideas, I go back to what I wrote and did not post and polish those.
Somewhat related, I started mindfulness meditation when I started reading, so I never ran out of things to write about - there was always a present moment.

Jeremy Mifsud | 26 comments I recently recorded a video of myself reading a poem, and it was nerve-wracking!! But if anyone wants to see me read it, here's the youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_9G8...

Tito the Incognito | 15 comments Hi Jeremy, greetings from San Francisco!

What kind of video games do you play? I play sometimes too, although you may not enjoy the same type of games I do because I only play Nintendo lol. Playing Mario Kart 7 online is so addicting, although I try not to let it interfere with my reading time lol. I'm also playing through Ocarina of Time for the first time ever and am enjoy it so far :)

I also wanted to say that's awesome that you are a self-published poet! Sometimes life has a way of interfering with our goals and discouraging us from trying to achieving our dreams, so it's wonderful that you are actually living out your dream of being a poet :)

Jeremy Mifsud | 26 comments Hi Tito!

I barely play much anymore since I am giving much more time to writing and reading. It's been a while since I've owned Nintendo Devices (except for my 3DS, which I only have Pokémon on) I used to play Mario Kart on the Wii, it was amazing! Nowadays, I mainly play on the PC. January's game was RimWorld. It is quite challenging but I have enjoyed playing it every now and then.

Thank you for the comment. Dreams are there so that we can chase them!
