I'm sorry to hear that you've not been well. I hope you are feeling better and continue to do so.It's still on my wishlist and I have so many other books to read that I'm not sure when or if I'll get to it.
I am also sorry to hear you've not been well. I have The Night Circus on my TBR list and I have added it to my ZZ task, although you only gave it three stars. I prefer that over the book I currently have listed.

The book is generic to walking but Solnit goes in great detail talking about walking and climbing the trails and mountains in Oregon as well as its coasts. Joshua Tree in California is pivotal too where she walked with her friend Owen Lovejoy (hikes that inspired her thought process - walking related to vast open spaces, bipedalism, anatomy of two genders enabling them to walk for leisure).
I hope this suffices.
California is not a part of the Pacific Northwest. So, if you can say that there is 50% set in Oregon, I will accept the book.

I made a ruling early in the year and stated that for the purposes of this challenge, PNW would comprise of Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. The original rules reflect that decision.

Will probably go with a novel set in ancient Egypt now (Stone, Carnelian).

Thank you Rusalka and Cherie. Unfortunately this will be the last badge I'll be vying for this year. Hoping to rejoin next year with a brand new challenge.
I hope you do the challenge again next year. I've already got a plan in place and I'm going to start putting it together. I will likely post the 2019 challenge the beginning of December.
