Detective Lankford shows up early on with continued animosity towards Mickey. Do you remember this character? Were you suspicious of him initially or chalked all that attitude up to residual feelings from their last encounter (investigator assigned to Mickey’s former investigator’s murder case)?

[Robin]

I actually couldn't remember why he was so antagonistic with Mickey. I assumed it was because of something that happened in the past.

[Jonetta]

I remembered him vividly as he was determined to nail Mickey for Levin’s death. Even when they proved who’d killed him Lankford was ungracious about it all. When he appeared in the story, retired, I smelled trouble immediately.
