Yes, Maggie could do more. She doesn't like that Mickey helps the people that she is trying to put in jail. Her daughter sees her attitude and shares it. Yes, Mickey helped a guy who eventually killed a couple of people in a drunk driving accident, but it is not Mickey's fault that the guy did it.
I was very disappointed in Maggie. There’s nothing dishonorable about Mickey’s profession. It’s how our judicial system works and she owes it to her daughter to make that clear. He’s not responsible for what someone else chose to do. Let’s face it, prosecutors make lousy decisions and deals all the time, this story a serious case in point. They’re no more noble than defense attorneys. Maggie should have done a lot more. Mickey’s VERY good at what he does.
I think Maggie could be a little more encouraging towards their relationship and yes I agree that Maggie's attitude rubs off on Hayley.
