Page Numbering for the Modern Library edition publishe in 2003.

The Goodreads database shows the Modern Library edition of Arthur Conan Doyle's A Study in Scarlet, published in 2003, has 160 pages. My copy of this edition shows the book numbers 129 pages plus 16 prefatory pages (title page, bibliographical note, and Anne Perry introduction).
