Since I've owned a Kindle, I find myself reading more and more books borrowed from the public library on it. Consequently, I have physical books that are languishing on Mt TBR, waiting to be read and released. My modest goal is to read, then release at least 25 of these books in 2018. Anyone interested in joining me? You can set your own goal - doesn't have to be 25. We could set it up like Edwina's decade challenge, with a template post that we come back and update. Anyone else have a dusty old Mt TBR?

Oh, I certainly do! I'll go for 26, just because that's one every two weeks, so if I can't do that much then shame on me! And under 100 pp. doesn't count except for bonuses.Oh, and adding the note that I'll release as convenient, not necessarily charting those here.
Yay! Welcome Cheryl. Let's do this! I'm going to try to finish up the library books that I have on my Kindle and will get started in Jan. We can post the name of the book and anything about the release we want to include.

None for me, thanks. My goal for this challenge is to get rid of books, not accumulate more ;-)

Just because the Indiana nights are frigid doesn't mean the Indiana woman is! ;)
How is everyone doing with this challenge?I need to pick up the pace if I'm going to finish this in time!
Well I've read the books but haven't released them all yet....& I'm going to be keeping a couple of them (I think) so that messes my numbers up! Will keep adding what I've read to help get my release numbers up - does that make sense???!!
Congratulations!!And... oops.
I bet I did do this, especially back in June when I was weeding and packing for a cross-country move. But I totally forgot to keep track.
Maybe we can do it again in 2019?
Well done, Edwina! And everyone else who has made progress toward their goal - and those who forgot to keep track ;-) Sadly, I've only made it to 1/2 of my target number. I still keep getting sidetracked with kindle books from the library. I really need to develop some self-control. Right now I'm working on trying to complete Edwina's decade challenge. Unfortunately, the books I'm currently reading are not BC books. But - 2018 isn't over yet!
Didn't quite complete my personal challenge, but willing to do better next year. I did read more of the books on my shelves, but not enough books that were registered by other BCers. Too many e-books as well. I almost released as many as I received, but because of generous BCers, it was a losing battle to release two for every one received. There is always next year (again, no laughing).
I was halfway there! I went for reading & releasing 15 books registered by other Bookcrossers which I met by reading 22 & releasing 15...
...& 15 books I registered myself before 2017 which I read but only released 13. In my defence one was saved for a bookring (but not used!) & the other has gone into my PC😊
It was soooo hard reading older books when new ones kept appearing on my shelves & tempting me......
Well, fellow BCers, we read and we released! Whether we met our personal goals or not (I only released 1/2 the number I'd set as my goal), we still got lots of books moving. Congrats to all and a very Happy New Year!PS - I echo Plum-crazy, that it is hard to read older books when new ones keep tempting!!
