Some books are as deeply rooted in the past as they are in the present that both stories are told. What books have you experienced that are set in two different time periods? Share your recommendations here.

Jill Berrill | 4 comments The Secret History of the Pink Carnation by Lauren Willig is one of my favorites! The whole series is about 12 books long. I got so into the "will they/won't they" of the two modern day characters.

Mary-Megan | 10 comments Susanna Kearsley writes about two time periods a lot in her books, although she does it as a sort of time travel or clairvoyant element. It sounds far fetched but really works. I enjoyed The Winter Sea, The Firebird, and The Rose Garden.

Other great books in two time periods include:
A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux
Stolen Beauty by Laurie Lico Albanese
Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford

Jill Berrill | 4 comments I just discovered a new author. Jennifer Lana. I’m currently reading The Tsarina’s Legacy. The story bounces back and forth between Empress Catherine of Russia and her modern day descendant....the grandchild of a secret Russian princess. It’s a pretty good story so far!
