Kelly Green Hicks (kelly's bookish world) The 2018 reading challenge will offer participants the option of reading one book each month. We will all be reading the same category each month which will be better for discussion purposes. Also, we are hoping that going down to one book per month will help participants stay in the challenge for the whole year. We will start a new thread each month to discuss that month's books. Happy reading!

January: A book about books or reading

February: A book about an immigrant or refugee experience (fiction/nonfiction)

March: A book by a debut author

April: A book for the "New Adult" genre

May: A book selection from Oprah's Book Club (past or present)

June: A book that deals with current events (fiction/nonfiction from any genre)

July: A Juicy Memoir! ;)

August: An epistolary novel (written in the form of diary entries, letters, blog posts, etc.)

September: A book written by someone you admire

October: A book in translation (originally published in another language)

November: An older book by a new favorite or newly discovered author

December: a book nominated for an award this year

There are so many on this list that I keep meaning to read! And at least a couple of all-time favorites.
