There are so many on this list that I keep meaning to read! And at least a couple of all-time favorites.
Thanks for the January book ideas. The Guernsey one could also fit the August challenge.
I'm going to start the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society for my January challenge book.

February: A book about an immigrant or refugee experience (fiction/nonfiction)
March: A book by a debut author
April: A book for the "New Adult" genre
May: A book selection from Oprah's Book Club (past or present)
June: A book that deals with current events (fiction/nonfiction from any genre)
July: A Juicy Memoir! ;)
August: An epistolary novel (written in the form of diary entries, letters, blog posts, etc.)
September: A book written by someone you admire
October: A book in translation (originally published in another language)
November: An older book by a new favorite or newly discovered author
December: a book nominated for an award this year
