There are so many on this list that I keep meaning to read! And at least a couple of all-time favorites.
January: A book about books or reading
February: A book about an immigrant or refugee experience (fiction/nonfiction)
March: A book by a debut author
April: A book for the "New Adult" genre
May: A book selection from Oprah's Book Club (past or present)
June: A book that deals with current events (fiction/nonfiction from any genre)
July: A Juicy Memoir! ;)
August: An epistolary novel (written in the form of diary entries, letters, blog posts, etc.)
September: A book written by someone you admire
October: A book in translation (originally published in another language)
November: An older book by a new favorite or newly discovered author
December: a book nominated for an award this year
