Alex wasn't alive when things first went shitfaced. To be honest, most people alive now weren't. But she was born into a Pound. And there, she learned how things really were. She learned to hate the Master and the way he kept things perpetually shiny, such a facade. Her father had passed away when she was young, so it was just her mother. When she was 16, the Keepers came and took her mother away for an undisclosed reason. This was the day Alexandra decided to fight back. She wouldn't let this stand, not anymore. She still hopes of finding her mother some day.

It was brutal. The Keepers had guns and shot whoever they could. If disarmed, they continued to attack with knives. Which is exactly what happened with Julie. The Keeper stabbed her, right where he thought her heart would be. But he had just missed her heart. She lost consciousness in the little battle and woke up in the intensive care unit of the rebel hospital. She later found out that everyone died, that she barely made it. She's grown up now and so has her obsession to kill all the Keepers.
