Please note there is a discussion in our Short Story Salon for E.M. Foster's The Machine Stops which was selected as a companion piece for A Room with a View.

Lily (joy1) | 2631 comments I have basically finished The World Broke in Two: Virginia Woolf, T. S. Eliot, D. H. Lawrence, E. M. Forster and the Year that Changed Literature. Some of you here might well enjoy perusing it, especially the sections on Forster. A new book, I found it informative on the book world at the end of WWI, largely from the perspective of these four great authors, against the background of James Joyce and Proust.

Hedi | 1079 comments Hi Everyone,

I have had a real bad reading year in 2017, which I hope to change again in 2018. I read A Room with a View about a year ago. So I might not read it again, but am curious to follow and possibly participate in your discussion. Maybe this will bring me back here. :-)

I still have to finish the last book of the Barchester series as well. :-(

Same here, I'm trying to get back on the bandwagon this year.
