Hi Rosemary!! Looks like I'm your first customer :-)I have landed on IT with you - May I have 3 choices please?
LaurLa's Bookopoly Shelf
Sure, LaurLa! Here are your holiday-themed picks :)
Dead By Midnight: An I-Team Christmas
Cinder - fairy tales are Christmassy, right?
For His Forever - has stockings :)
Hello, Rosemary. What a scary place you have here! (Whispering: I usually try to avoid this author, although I have a few of his on my TBR and I remember watching a few movies and afterwards finding that they were his movies. I didn't think they were so bad, so that explains the TBR.)
I would like 3 choices to consider from my bookopoly shelf.

Hi, Bea! Maybe it is too scary, since I don't seem to get many visitors ... you are one of the brave ones! ;)Here are your picks:
The Golden Compass - a YA fantasy novel that I really enjoyed
The A.B.C. Murders - I love Dame Agatha!
Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis - I was just looking at this one in the shop where I volunteer this morning, and thinking how interesting it looked!
Rosemary, I am going to choose The Golden Compass as it is on my list for the monthly book for January as well as my Wheel. I have put it on hold and am #1 on the list, so I should get it quickly.
Hi, Rosemary! I've landed on your property. Could you please choose 3 from my Bookopoly shelf please? Thanks!
Sure! I'll pick three books I've heard really good things about:
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
Before We Were Yours
Burial RitesEnjoy!
Hello Rosemary,I am not sure how this work? But you are going to pick three books to suggest if I am right? I am new to Goodreads and just discovered how much I am into reading :)
Thanks!
Hi Manuela, The instructions of the game are here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
That thread is for questions, too. If you have played Monopoly, you'll see it is similar.
Normally you would create a Bookopoly shelf in 'My Books'. But since you only have 36 books on your to-read shelf, I can use that if you want to get started right away.
I pick three, and then you choose one of them to read. So my picks from your TBR are:
The Bear and the Nightingale
Pretty Little Liars
TwilightEnjoy the one you choose!

Before We Were Yours is my IRL book club book so I'll probably go with that. But you're the third person to pick Burial Rites and I really want to read that one, too! Decisions, decisions...... LOL

Whelp, the library decided it for me. I'm #166 in line for Before We Were Yours so that's not going to happen for a while yet. Therefore, Burial Rites it is! I even have that one on hand. Thanks again for choosing!
#166! OMG! I hope they have more than one copy! Maybe you can borrow it from someone in your book club who finishes early?Anyway, I hope you enjoy Burial Rites :)
Hi Rosemary! I've just landed on your scary square and would appreciate three selections from Amy's bookopoly shelf. Thanks!

Half of a Yellow Sun - a 5-star read for me
Turtles All the Way Down - I love John Green but haven't read this one yet
Joyland - because it's Stephen King! And you're on the spooky Stephen King square! :)

Welcome, Marina! How about one of these:
A Man Was Going Down the Road
A Modest Proposal

Hi Lusie! I'll pick the three highest rated for you:
Words of Radiance
Empire of Storms
Magic ShiftsEnjoy!
Thank you. Great picks, all 3 are books I'm looking forward too. I think I'll go for Words of Radiance, but it depends on when tien wants to do the buddy read for that book. I might go for Magic Shifts instead.
Sure thing, Amanda! For you I propose:
The Nightingale
Lethal Licorice
The Terminal ListAll have average ratings over 4.5 so they must be good, right?
Yes, I hope so! Thanks, Rosemary! I will go with Lethal Licorice since it is due back to the library soon.
Rosemary, I've landed here. Shiver. Stephen King is not my style, so I'd like to get away as soon as possible. Could you pick 3 books for me from my shelf ?
Your wish is my command, Susan. But you'd better move fast before IT wakes up and notices you were here ...
Lirael - I liked this one even more than the first
The Silkworm - but watch out for the description of the murder, it's gruesome :(
Nothing Can Possibly Go Wrong - love the title!
Rosemary wrote: "Your wish is my command, Susan. But you'd better move fast before IT wakes up and notices you were here ...
These sound great, Rosemary!
I'd almost forgotten about the Sabriel series. Based on your recommendation, I think I'll go with Lirael.

Sure, Cassie! How about these:
Queen of Shadows
Assassin's Apprentice
Calm My Anxious Heart (I think I need that book!)
Rosemary wrote: "Calm My Anxious Heart (I think I need that book!) "
Lol! I'm actually in the middle of another nonfiction, so I'll have to wait on that one a bit longer. I'm SO torn on the other two, though! One works for wheel and one I just want to read.............. okay, I'll go with
because I works for Wheel of Bookshelves! Thanks!
Sure, Tien! I will make sure they all fit at least one RwS task, too. (They may fit more, I've just mentioned the first one I saw)
Career of Evil (3rd in series) - I loved this
Miller's Valley (two Ns)- I like this author, but haven't read this one
The Lies of Locke Lamora (Russian task) - Heard good things about this
Thanks, Rosemary! I've completed those 3 RwS tasks and I'm actually trying very hard to focus on Wheel of Bookshelves which the first & third pick above fit for Round 2 so it'll be one of those :)
Sure, Dee! Here are some that look good/amusing/intriguing:
Burn So Bright
Ostrich and the 'Roo
Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania
thanks Rosemary! I need something funny and enjoyable right now - so its time for some Eve :) i'm going to reach Ostrich and the 'Roo
That's a difficult choice, Sue! I've enjoyed several of the books on your list. How about these:
How I Live Now
Picnic at Hanging Rock
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
Thanks, Rosemary!I saw your message early Thurs a.m. my time; was about to leave for work and couldn't reply - and just remembered today that I still needed to reply.
I will be reading I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

Well, hi! Come on in and let me pick some books for you.
I hope you'll stay a loooooong while ...
