You're right. I think it's 160 pages. I am trying hard to savour each word to make it last.
And I already feel a connection to Izzy. I think it's important to like or admire the heroine of a romance. because when we kinda experience the story through her.
I am not at chapter 4 yet. i am trying to read slower than you. 😁tortoises rule!

I just can't stop obsessing over their negative traits.
Yes I like Izzy and Derek both in this one :D

Derek is a good beast. Honestly ya know I do not like them beasties in real life. but in fiction writers make them irresistible, alluring to our feminine sensibilities. 😁
Also beasts of fiction, like Derek here are always good inside, bad outside. so yeah that is all right for me.
Atticus made this book better. I love dogs and Atticus is such a sweetheart.

Yes it was lacking something. But I think I was in the perfect mood for the book. You know sometimes...a book catches you in the perfect mood?

Derek Croft never agreed to the cheery temp his staff arranges for him while they’re on vacation. Izzy is his polar opposite, but Derek soon realizes she could be the perfect solution to his interfering family…if he can get her to agree to pretend to be his live-in girlfriend.
