Lately I have been wanting to buy some books on writing and I have noticed that some people say this is a good one. But I also notice she has other books on writing but I see mixed reviews on them. Any ideas which would be best?

This is her best book. Please read it. Here are other 2:
1. Bird by Bird by Anne lamott
2. On writing by Stephen King.

I love this question, Kassandra. This was the only book by Natalie Goldberg I purchased, and you've inspired me to revisit it and remind myself why I remember her so well (It's buried deep in my lockup). You also can't go wrong, in my opinion, with Julia Cameron, The Artist's Way, and also The Right to Write. Let us know what you decide!

"Writing Down the Bones" is one of her best. I also suggest "Wild Mind" for exercising your creative muscles. Definitely gets you thinking outside the box.
