Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me find a book I read as a kid between 1987-1990. Don't remember the name, most of the plot is a blur to me but I do recall the story revolved around Merlin the magician being reincarnated into a present day sort of punk rock kid. The cover had a "punk" looking kid with a mohawk, possibly a switchblade and he was shooting lightning out of his finger. I've been trying to recall the title but it keeps slipping my mind. If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated

I'm going to throw my vote with Tab. That's what I think it is too. And back in the late 80's/early 90's sci-fi and fantasy weren't as mainstream as they are now, so there weren't 30 or 40 authors writing similar stories.
