Brittany | 1 comments I'm having problems with a NookHD. It keeps freezing. It also doesn't remember bookmarks. If a page is bookmarked, the next time the book opens, it opens to the first/title page. Have had the device for less than a year. It just started doing these things recently, within the past few weeks. Any suggestions on how to fix these problems?

Colette (theautumnmaiden) | 49 comments Can you try a hard reset? I've had mine for about a year too and haven't had this issue myself. Also did you check if it's all books or certain ones/formats? I hope things can get fixed.

Nina (marshnina) | 60 comments I understand your frustration! My nook hd+ has done this from the beginning. I have even had it replaced and still have problems. I was told to do a hard reset, to deregister and register again, take off all the apps, and none of these worked for me.... I now only take it to work with me and remember the page number but do most of my reading on the iPad I got so I could read my nook books, and kindle books.

Jennifer D | 5 comments Brittany, mine does that occasionally too. I read somewhere if you go through your library to get to the book it picks up where you left off. It worked for me. I also read it could have something to do with the book. I always turn mine off and restart it and go through my library. When it doesn't work it seems to fix its self within a few days.

Missyb | 221 comments Do you have a external memory card in it? I had issues with mine, the book showed as one thing but when opened it was a different book. I took the memory card out & waited a minute then put it back in and everything was fine.

Turtlefrog | 107 comments Lately I've been having battery issues with my Nook HD+
For some reason whenever I take my Nook off of the charger, every once in awhile (although it has been happening more frequently) I also get a message box that tells me my battery is "critically low" and that I need to charge it. But once I stick my charge back in the Nook then it registers the fact that I have full power. WTF?! Is this happening to anyone else?

Also a couple of times my Nook has powered down on me. At random times with full or half battery usage. Once I was purchasing or rather trying to purchase a book and the other times I was online or reading and then BAM the screen goes black and the Nook is powered down. And everytime I have to wait at least 15 minutes before it will power back up. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing these issues for me?

Kathie (kathiegoldberg) | 1 comments Turtlefrog, this has been happening to me for several months. I took it in to the store and there was not much they could do other than give me a new charger. They recommended calling Nook support but I haven't gotten around to it. My fix is to just keep it plugged in all the time at this point. A bit inconvenient but most of the time it is doable for me. I don't seem to have the problem when I am in airplane mode just reading a book (as opposed to connected to the internet using apps or reading email, etc.)
