Liam Perrin (liamperrin) | 194 comments Goodreads shared this image on their twitter account. I don't think I ever went through stage 5, but I spent quite a long time in stage 6 because of life. I think I must be in stage 7, and I'm having great fun :)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) I never went through 5, 6, or 7, thankfully. I spent several years with limited or no TV & never really missed it, but 'no books'? Nope, that just wouldn't have worked. I still hoard books. We have a few thousand taking up most of our wall space, but I pass on enough that my kids complain they have to build new bookshelves. Tough, I taught them how to do that, too.
:)

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 325 comments I've never gone through 5 as I don't want to write. But unbearable frustration? YES.

Also never hit 6 but in a way I hit 7: I have a different appreciation of books as an adult.

I have no children of my own but I spend time corrupting my nephews and co-workers kids. It's never too early to get them hooked. 9

ETA: I am a confirmed book hoarder.

I believe I'm at a form of 5. A well written book makes me deeply feel the whole spectrum of emotions. From tear shedding sadness to gut busting laughter. I'm also of an age that I pass a lot of books on.

Liam Perrin (liamperrin) | 194 comments Huh. I didn't look closely enough to see that the cartoon man is frustrated because he's trying to write a book. It doesn't change my answer though - writing has been a joy and only increased my love of books (marketing and business though...)

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments Very much 8 and 4. Never been at 6.

message 7: by Yvette (new)

Yvette Bostic I've seen all of those stages. I'm not sure how I feel about that...LOL

Aaron (zalejin) | 248 comments I am at 4 and 8, and will probably be there until I die. I never want kids so no plans to pass on my books there. haha.

EchoBaz(Unofficial World's Fastest Reader) I feel like I've been in a constant stage between stage 2-5 since forever, and I constantly bounce back between them.

Right now I'm a combo of stage 2 and 4. I'm set to read over 30 books this year, and I've never read even 10 books in a year! Plus I read the best book I've read in my life this month. ( Dark Matter seriously, just fucking check it out!) so that really helps.

If you loved Dark Matter, have you watched the show Sliders? it is a bit older now but the first 2/3 seasons are still fantastic.

EchoBaz(Unofficial World's Fastest Reader) Seen some of it, and yeah, it's really really good.

Bran | 98 comments Always been a 4. And 8 is coming along, it's always been a little dream of mine to have a personal library.

Liam Perrin (liamperrin) | 194 comments I'm considering a move to #8.
