Yes let's! I've definitely been missing those.

Kate Doomsday Book (Oxford Time Travel, #1) by Connie Willis

3 Stars

Well the end got better but this book was very slow to start. I think I finally really engaged around 300 pages in. But it was an interesting premise and well written.

message 10: by Kate (new)

Kate Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris

4 stars

This was very good. The writing was interesting and really grabbed my attention. My only issue is I really actually did not like Grace that much. I wanted to. Really did. But she just didn't click with me.

message 11: by Kate (new)

Kate The Cuckoo's Calling (Cormoran Strike, #1) by Robert Galbraith

3 stars

This was OK but not great. And I don't blame JK for wanting to write outside of the Harry Potter universe, but I seem to always attribute her to Great, so I struggled. It was enjoyable but I probably won't continue in the Cormoran series.

I think we weren't suppose to like her because although I Ioved the book I didn't like her.

Very true. I did read some reviews that people really liked her.

Kate Turbo Twenty-Three (Stephanie Plum, #23) by Janet Evanovich

5 stars

It's been a really long time since I've been caught up with this series. Just waiting on 24. I really enjoyed this one. Felt more like the bumbling bounty hunter than the ones as of late.

message 15: by Kate (new)

Kate 2nd Chance (Women's Murder Club, #2) by James Patterson

4 stars

I started reading this series in high school. Kind of nice to revisit it while I'm working. I always need audiobooks I can focus in and out of. Re-listening works so well.

Stephanie | 316 comments Hey Kate 😀! Good luck with your goal! I'm trying to get myself back into action this year. Them kids... girl. Hopefully, we can set up some BRs this year. I miss them.

Ya those kids... and husbands. I think he's worse than the kid! But I am so game for buddy reads!

Right. And mine has the nerve to be like, "Where do these kids learn this stuff from?" 😒😕 You! Honey, you! 😂😉

Yes, we should try and set something up. For sure. I'm always ready so let me know if you find something that sounds good to read. And I'll do the same.

message 19: by Kate (new)

Kate Sounds good. I'll see if I can find something!

Kate 3rd Degree (Women's Murder Club, #3) by James Patterson

4 stars

I think this is the last book I read in this series so many years ago. I remember (view spoiler)

message 21: by Blagica , Challenges (new)

Blagica | 12949 comments Do you two plan on reading without me =(. I was planning to bring candy lol

message 22: by Kate (new)

Kate Of course we weren’t! We still haven’t landed on a book yet

Blagica | 12949 comments teasing you girls is so much fun!

Kate The Hypnotist's Love Story by Liane Moriarty

4 stars

This was good. The characters were compelling although Ellen wasn't my favorite. The plot had promise but I spent the whole book waiting for something MORE to happen. The book moved and was interesting but just always felt like a big event was just out of reach. I'm looking forward to reading more from Liane Moriarty.

message 25: by Kate (new)

Kate Home (Binti, #2) by Nnedi Okorafor

3 stars

I really wish these were full length books. I just think the world development would be amazing in a longer format.

message 26: by Kate (new)

Kate 4th of July (Women's Murder Club, #4) by James Patterson

4 stars

I think this was my favorite so far. These are so nice to listen to on audiobook. Narrator is great.

message 27: by Kate (new)

Kate Frenched (Frenched, #1) by Melanie Harlow

4 stars

A nice little romance although a bit rushed. Who wouldn't want to fall in love with a handsome stranger while traveling.

message 28: by Kate (new)

Kate The Risk (Mindf*ck, #1) by S.T. Abby

4 stars

Quick read. Compelling story. Cliff hangers always make me crazy... In good ways.

message 29: by Kate (new)

Kate The 5th Horseman (Women's Murder Club, #5) by James Patterson

4 stars

I'm really enjoying listening to these. The narrator is great. The hospital angle was so interesting.

message 30: by Kate (new)

Kate Sidetracked (Mindf*ck, #2) by S.T. Abby

3 stars

ARRRRGGHHHHHHH the cliff hangers. I'm torn on this story but yet NEED to know.

message 31: by Kate (new)

Kate Pretty Little Liars (Pretty Little Liars, #1) by Sara Shepard

3 stars

The tv show is such a guilty pleasure for me. Books were a fun listen!

message 32: by Blagica , Challenges (new)

Blagica | 12949 comments Hoping you had fun getting lost in some pages in your first month!

message 33: by Susy (new)

Susy (susysstories) Just love your comments Kate!!! Keep them coming :D

message 34: by Kate (new)

Kate Flawless (Pretty Little Liars, #2) by Sara Shepard

4 stars

Interesting to see the changes the show made compared to the books. (view spoiler)

message 35: by Kate (new)

Kate The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman

4 stars

I loved this movie and the book did not disappoint. The narrator (as I listened to it) was not my favorite but was not bad either. Well worth the listen.

message 36: by Kate (new)

Kate Scarlet Angel (Mindf*ck, #3) by S.T. Abby

4 stars

This is my favorite book of this series so far. Whereas before, I wasn't as sure of continuing this series, I'm now fully onboard. Hadley's POV was a great addition.

message 37: by Kate (new)

Kate All the Lies (Mindf*ck, #4) by S.T. Abby

4 stars

This was even better than the third. I'm very torn if I want a happy ending or not. It would be sad if it didn't all work out but what a plot twist....

message 38: by Kate (new)

Kate The 6th Target (Women's Murder Club, #6) by James Patterson

4 stars

Ugh... I just want Lindsay and Joe together. Is that too much to ask?!

message 39: by Kate (new)

Kate Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) by S.T. Abby

4 stars

This was a great series and really engaged me starting book 3. Looking forward to more from this author.

message 40: by Kate (last edited Feb 16, 2018 12:28PM) (new)

Kate The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air, #1) by Holly Black

4 stars

Not something I would typically read and I really enjoyed it/need book 2 now! It was a bit slower to pick up for me but definitely worth it in the end.

message 41: by Kate (new)

Kate Air Awakens (Air Awakens, #1) by Elise Kova

4 stars

The premise is good and intriguing. This one needed some editing but not bad for a first novel. After hearing the series continues to get better, I would definitely think about continuing on.

message 42: by Kate (new)

Kate A Wrinkle in Time (A Wrinkle in Time Quintet, #1) by Madeleine L'Engle

4 stars

I'm glad I read this before the movie came out. I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if I had read it as a kid but overall it was enjoyable.

message 43: by Kate (new)

Kate Perfect (Pretty Little Liars, #3) by Sara Shepard

4 stars

These are really nice to listen to at work. Light, interesting, narrator is good, and 100% focus isn't a requirement.

message 44: by Blagica , Challenges (new)

Blagica | 12949 comments You are doing great! Hoping March is a smashing success for you.

message 45: by Kate (new)

Kate Unbelievable (Pretty Little Liars, #4) by Sara Shepard

3 stars

This is very different from the show. Which is nice, but think I need to take a little break from the series. I find I'm losing interest in it.

message 46: by Kate (new)

Kate 7th Heaven (Women's Murder Club, #7) by James Patterson

4 Stars

Sometimes the writing really annoys me. But, I am enjoying listening more than actually reading this series. The actual plot is good.

message 47: by Kate (new)

Kate The 8th Confession (Women's Murder Club, #8) by James Patterson

3 Stars

I liked the snake aspect (I hate snakes). I really hate that (view spoiler) So because of those things it's a bit lower of a rating but still kept my interest. On to 9!

message 48: by Kate (new)

Kate The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks

5 stars

So good! Lots of twists. The anticipation built. It was a great way to illustrate not trusting everything you think you know.

message 49: by Kate (new)

Kate The 9th Judgment (Women's Murder Club, #9) by James Patterson

4 stars

The villain was just creepy in this. And didn't really like the ending (view spoiler)

message 50: by Kate (new)

Kate Sleeping Giants (Themis Files, #1) by Sylvain Neuvel

4 stars

I liked this book. The premise was strong, and the format unique. I listened on audiobook and they had different voices for people which was nice. I will say that it was hard to grasp the amount of time had passed between events but not sure if that was due to the format of the book or the audiobook.
