Accel | 2 comments Hey, I read this book around 3-4 years ago.

The main character was a young boy and he potentially had a younger sister. It took place in the modern era, but I think they went to Egypt as a trip. I don't remember the early parts clearly, so take this part with a grain of salt.

The only part I remember clearly is the ending so SPOILERS AHEAD.

The main character is killed by the enemy demon king? and is left to die. He somehow gets revived and is granted a new power that lets him see the weak points of his enemies. Their weak points are described as a bright golden light on the body of his foes. He targets the countless weak points on the demon king, punching all of them, somehow killing him with his bare fists.

At the end of the novel, his parents are back and its revealed that the boy will have to live with the power for the rest of his life; he sees the weak points of his parents and has the capability to accidentally kill them. He blinks so the weak points he sees goes away temporarily, and the book ends.

This demon king MAY have been someone like Shiva or Ravana.

Thanks, but unfortunately this isn't it. It was a standalone book, so it wasn't apart of a series

Accel, does the boy time travel into the past, ancient Egypt?

Something from the Kane Chronicles series by Rick Riordan?
