Mike McGowan | 2 comments Possibly someone on here can help me. I'm trying to remember the author or series title of a comedic sci-fi series that I owned in the early 1990s (maybe around 1992/1993?).

There were at least 2 books in the series, maybe more, they were near future (probably no more than about 1500 years ahead of today and probably less) and they revolved around the adventures of a team of reporters.

I remember that one of the books in the series began with a chap who was both a decorated soldier and a respected artist using some sort of bomb to sculpt a huge statue.

In every book they'd get sent to report on a particular story but there'd always be some event that dragged them into a much bigger story. I think there might have been a woman who was the 'face' of the newsteam and a camera/tech geek. They worked for a network that might have been called something like 'Satellite News Network' or 'Galactic News Network' but I just can't remember for certain.

If anybody can enlighten me as to what these books were/are, I'd be very grateful - I've been looking for ages (I've been through the majority of the resources suggested elsewhere on here) and haven't been able to identify them yet.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike McGowan | 2 comments That's it, that's the series! Thank you so much Kris and after searching (what seems like at least) thousands of combinations of 'Satellite News', I can't believe I didn't come up with 'Satellite Night News'.

Thanks a lot :D

This is now SOLVED.

Great! Glad you found your book series, Mike. I find a search engine like www.worldcat.org is particularly helpful for tracking for older books.
